Care to address anything else they do, and your apparent stance that you actually want the abortion rate in the US to to up?

Because if you actually know what they do, you know that getting rid of them will remove access to contraception from millions of women who will then need abortions.

Washington Post calling for Nunes to be investigated.

Quote:
We’ve said before that it was doubtful that an investigation headed by Mr. Nunes into Russia’s interference in the election could be adequate or credible. The chairman’s contradictory and clownish grandstanding makes that a certainty. His committee’s investigation should be halted immediately — and Mr. Nunes deserves to be subject to the same leaking probe he demanded for the previous disclosures.

How he could take derails of the investigation to the actual people being investigated and still be in the job is

Ah, but we're not talking about the same thing. If you're taking about direct medicaid reimbursement for medical services such as cervical cancer screening, mammograms and perinatal care, then I will agree with you. How does that support abortions?

Any minute now he'll come back with a well sourced logical argument.

I can sense these things.

Which is unfortunate, because if you had read the report, you'd have come across this table which would have answered the earlier question about "what Planned Parenthood actually does".

The quote in your post, which is unattributed, seems to come from an article on teaparty.org. I, for one, am shocked.

That's not what the report you linked said. It says:

Quote:
From fiscal year 2010 through 2012, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) reported obligating about $236 million to six organizations and their affiliates and member associations: Advocates for Youth, Guttmacher Institute, International Planned Parenthood Federation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Population Council, and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States. While HHS obligated funding to each of these six organizations, USAID obligated funding to two of the six organizations. In addition, the six organizations reported expending funding they received directly and indirectly from federal agencies, including HHS and USAID, as well as the Departments of Agriculture, Defense, Housing and Urban Development, and Justice. The six organizations reported expending over $482 million of federal funding during the same time frame.
So that means that over a 2 year fiscal period nearly $500 million was expended across SIX organizations. Not Planned Parenthood in a single year.

Why are you misrepresenting your own provided information?

As a rule, misinformed people do not change their minds once they have been presented with facts that challenge their beliefs. But, beyond simply not changing their minds when they should, research shows that they are likely to become more attached to their mistaken beliefs. The factual information “backfires.” When people don’t agree with you, research suggests that bringing in facts to support your case might actually make them believe you less. In other words, fighting the ill-informed with facts is like fighting a grease fire with water. It seems like it should work, but it’s actually going to make things worse.

This just seemed really fitting to post with regards to the last few pages here. Can we move on to actual reality here?

Three year fiscal period, not two. And those are federal funds.
