I'm also not watching the game tonight but the mental gymnastics some people use to justify things is hilarious.
Well obviously YOU were discussing it back then, considering you still (pathetically) remember it and bring it up years later. These "mental gymnastics" surely can't come as a surprise to you now that the pendulum has swung the other way, can it?

I like having you trolls around this late in the season. Very entertaining. If only this opportunity came around more than once per decade.

But the Jets themselves aren't playing any better. 5-5-2 in their last 12.

They also don't have an easy schedule coming up. 16 games left, 13 games are against teams currently in playoff positions.

I think Mickey Redmond from FSN Detroit is comparable to Garrett. He's unbearable.

Brian Hayward/Ducks... biggest homer ever.

Also Jets currently sitting on about 10% chance of making the playoffs. So, probability wise, LA is about 4x and STL 7x more likely to make the playoffs than the Jets.

Wasn't she gushing over the Oilers the last time they played the Flames too?

OMG, yes. This. He's so much worse than Garrett, and that's a high bar (low bar?) to reach. He continuously calls penalties on the broadcast that are normal hockey plays, simply because it happens to the Ducks. Then he bends over backwards trying to justify whatever dirty infraction the Ducks make.

Hayward is the ####ing worst. You guys are just exposed to Garrett more so you notice it more. If you had to watch Hayward with any regularity you would lose your mind.

This shouldn't even be a debate. Phil Esposito and the Lightning.

The refs need to step their game up if this is true as McDavid is awful on faceoffs. He needs more help.

The Bruins guys are really bad too

And vanflamesfan is right about larschied he wasn't so much homer as he was emotional. He would go off on players if things were going bad

Garrett is up there but he's somewhat low key about it, he isn't loud or bombastic but then you see him randomly predict the Canucks to win the cup every year

Remenda with the sharks came close, he hasn't met those levels with Edmonton yet

The Jets season ends the same day as everyone else, they have played more games than anyone, and still have 3 back to back's left. So despite fewer games left it's not an easy schedule.

Don't worry MacKinnon - Sakic will sign Bollig & Versteeg this summer to replace the losses of Iginla & Bourque.

The Avs will be fixed up soon enough.
