Great win and good on Brodie for scoring in OT, but good lord was he is liability out there 5 on 5 tonight and on the PP. Been better since Stone came over, but that was cringe worthy tonight. He looked like he did when he was younger again and throwing no look saucer passes all over the ice.

I thought that Gio was an absolute beast tonight.

Yup, the Gio-Hamilton pairing has been unreal for a while.
I wish someone would have clocked that slapper that Gio just missed with. That had to be threatening the 100 MPH mark.

Just got home from the game. What a game!
We sat really close to the net and saw a few small things up close.
Doughty was chirping at Gaudreau a lot for no reason. That was kinda obvious and dinky. I was surprised to see that; I thought more of him.
Bishop was still wearing his Tampa blue mask that says BOLTS on the side. Understandable, but still funny.
Brouwer fight was a bit weird - the defenseman (I believe it was McNabb) didn't wanna fight at all and was just holding Brouwer's arms, while Brouwer tried to punch. I almost felt a bit sorry for the guy.
Giordano hit was absolutely thunderous. It totally woke up Saddledome and was the game breaker.
Great game overall. Flames did not look any smaller than Kings tonight.

Montreal: no goal light, no signal by the ref, whistle blown -> review: puck crossed the goal line naturally, was not pushed in with the glove = "after review, no goal." No further explanation.
Seriously NHL, your officiating and command center are beyond useless.

IMO, The kings goal should not have counted, and the Canadiens non goal should have counted. The NHL got both calls wrong.

Deryk Engelland quietly had a fantastic game in my opinion. I loved all our defenseman tonight.
Top two lines looked great again. Backlund had an off game but everyone has a bad night here and there.
Elliott was fantastic tonight, thought he made several huge saves.
Brouwer and Bennett drive me nuts tonight. Horrible games from both. I liked that Brouwer showed some passion with his fight but other than that I thought he struggled. If I was Dave Cameron I would replace Brouwer with Ferland on the PP and I'd take Versteeg off the point. Neither of them add much value to the PP. I'd rather see Gio and Dougie out with the 1st unit.

I like the balance we have now. A physical guy on every line and every pairing.

Why is it a dumb post? Because you are a big TJ Brodie fan? He's hovering around the bottom of the league when it come to advanced stats. He had another very bad game tonight that gets overlooked by a game winning goal playing 3 on 3 where he excels.
He gave the puck away needlessly multiple times tonight in his own end and we were damn lucky LA missed burying them. He was useless on the PP and struggles To even gain the zone because he continues to telegraph everything he is going to do.
I hope he turns it around and it was starting to look
Like he was, but tonight was very bad. He was completely lost in his own end. Hopefully it's only a blip on the radar in his return to prior seasons form.

What a gutsy win. I thought the Kings would try to push us around but it turned out to be the exact opposite. The physicality bodes real well if we make the playoffs.

The Flames have really flipped the script on that whole being a soft teamtag they had going until about a month ago. I wonder what got them gong?

What a pass by Backlund and what a sick goal by Brodie for the win!

That play is lucky for the kings

I would say the Kings got lucky when they were awarded a goal they didn't score legally
