Interesting Breaking News on CNN just now. CNN, NY Times, LA Times, and others have been blocked from a whitehouse media briefing.

So they don't get to listen to the White House lie directly but have to read it from the approved news outlets? They're even more free to do the reporting that actually matters so in a way it is good.
On a Friday. I bet this is a trial to see how big the uproar is, to see if they can continue doing it.

My wife is going to Houston next week and we legitimately had to have a conversation this morning about if she still wanted to go. She still is, but we definitely talked about things/situations to be wary of. We're supposed to go to Boston this summer for her cousin's wedding and we've pretty much decided that we won't be bringing our kids as a precaution.

I think the Trump presidency has burnt me out on irony.

“A source says that Donald Trump is a horrible, horrible human being, let them say it to my face,” Trump told a large crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference. “Let there be no more sources.”
Members of Trump’s White House team regularly demand anonymity when talking to reporters.
Trump said he wasn’t against all media, just “the fake news media or press.”
“I’m against the people that make up stories and make up sources,” he said. “They shouldn’t be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody’s name.”
|
Lets all take a moment to remember how many times Trump used "some people say" during the campaign.

The organizations that were blocked today are going to drop the ball here on their coverage by bringing themselves into it.
It's the most obvious part of singling out and dividing the press, make them write stories on themselves rather than continue expose journalism on the administration.
Here is the thing: IF the President has blocked you from the daily briefing, do you go back if the ban has been lifted? If you're a serious journalist, the answer is no, you report mercilessly on everything regarding the administration EXCEPT FOR WHAT THEY SAY.
They will fail this test though and march right back into the press briefing room the minute they are invited back, all the while pumping out as much byline material as possible about butting heads with the administration.
Its a weird sort of appeal to ego strategy by the white house and it will work, just watch.

According to this, the Russians have 7000 and America 6800.
You know more about the military than I do though, is the total number really that low?

They have a total of 481 warheads on 431 ICBMS
920 warheads on 230 SLBM
80 warheads of various types with their Bomber groups.
This is their ready to fire right freaking now arsenal. the other thousands of warheads are either in storage, not deployed or waiting for deactivation.

I'm actually surprised it took this long. But let's face it from the moment Melissa McCarthy became Sean Spicer, the vast majority of society got it's White House press briefings from SNL.

The president’s reported remarks on the Obama-era New Start treaty between the US and Russia have provoked alarm among security specialists
Donald Trump has told Vladimir Putin he does not want to renew a 2010 arms control treaty that limits the number of strategic nuclear weapons the US and Russia can deploy.
Trump angrily denounced the New Start treaty in a 28 January phone call to the Russian leader, according to sources briefed on the call. Reuters, which first reported Trump’s remarks, said the new US president also had to pause the hour-long call to ask what the New Start treaty was.”

Haven't NBC, CBS also been reporting it? Also, was WaPo excluded?
