I would infer that the rules are different for the scoring lines to take a longer shift in the hopes that they get a goal, but Gaudreau's penchant for giveaways and simply not generating enough lately has made Gulutzan tighten the rope a bit when it comes to his shifts, and Gaudreau wasn't getting the message? Just my take on it anyways.

No idea where it comes to Wideman vs Hamilton. Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe Wideman's shift length is much longer because it takes him a while to skate to the bench?

It was actually Chiasson, Stajan & Bouma.

I think some of the extra ice time Wideman gets is due to the pk. With the Flames taking as many penalties as they do, he will get more time on the ice as we typically kill more penalties than have powerplays.

Wideman gets more even strength ice time than Hamilton. Has nothing to do with special teams.

It's baffling. Does this team want to make the playoffs or nah?

Around the time of the Feaster hiring. Nieuwendyk went to Dallas.

?

Feaster became the AGM of the Flames during the summer of 2010. Nieuwendyk had been GM of the Stars for over a year at that time.

The only time I've heard Nieuwendyk connected to a management position here was before Treliving was hired, and that was only that Burke may have interviewed him, not that he was ever made an offer. There's no way Nieuwendyk would reject any offer to be a GM after how badly he managed in Dallas.

That is hard to understand. It was the same under Hartley, where Russell and often Engelland received more ice time as well.

Those kinds of decisions are understandable if the team is consistently winning. But they are not.

Treliving was Burke's only interview.
