P.S. No ketchup!
Pfft...depends on the type of wine you drink with the pickle.

I think you can still get it in the Maritimes. My mom used to send me out a couple boxes from time to time. Haven't seen that package from home lately though, so maybe they stopped.

Actually though. I have basically no nostalgic attachment to regular KD. Egg noodle KD though? Whole different story.

At this altitude - 9 minutes exactly for noodles. 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup margarine, Lawrys seasoning salt. I might apply ketchup for the last few bites, but not to start.

I discovered Compliments extra creamy is better than KD, but one box is barely a meal for a grown man.

Quick mac and cheese - elbow macaroni, half jar of alfresco sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, seasoning salt.

Rotini (more surface area per noodle to absorb tastey stuff)

Melt some butter and add Muenster cheese and parm in a 2:1 ratio.

Fry up onions, garlic, finely diced broccolini.

Mix together. Now who is gunna pick this mic up off the floor?

Mac n Cheese has to made with velveeta. I still buy KD though because I use the cheese powder on popcorn.

When I was a kid, my mom would cook the noodles and mix in a can of tomato soup. She wouldn't add the powdered cheese mix, instead she would sprinkle it on top. Always found it strange but it was good for a change of pace

When I'm feeling like a glutton my go-to is a box of Mac&Cheese mixed with a can of Stagg Chili. I add a bit of shredded Mozzarella and some pepper and go nuts. It is awesome.

Box of KD, cup of hamburger meat and a cup of salsa. So good.

I also follow the double the butter halve the milk idea and tend to add a bit of shredded cheese when mixing it all together. Ketchup is terrible. Wideman has no trade value. I also will on occasion add sriracha.

Side note, enough with the posting of gourmet mac and cheese recipes. If it doesn't contain a BOX OF KD its not in the theme of the thread.

Just replace the butter with salsa con queso. Make sure you have a defibrillator handy for after.
