I think about 1000 posts or so ago in this thread I suggested I would start defending Trump just for the purpose of providing balance to the debate here. Since that post I've lost any desire to defend what he is doing.

The travel ban based ostensibly based on country of origin but behind the scenes based on religion is disgusting.

I'll put one positive spin on Trump's presidency: It is going to become a true test of the strength and wisdom of the American democracy.

Going by his "description", it's as though he thinks a pipeline is forged as one continuous actual pipe, and then cut up into pieces for shipping, like sausages.

Every day it's back and forth with this guy. One day I think "he's playing dumb, he knows what he's doing, he's setting up a masterplan..."

So lucky and proud to be Canadian right now. Trudeau is in a tough spot. Canadians have almost always been there for Americans, and we almost always want to be. But yikes... when your neighbour goes crazy you can't exactly follow into the depths of that mindset.

Haha, I know what groupthink is, thanks. There's a difference between groupthink and people just posting all the unbelievable things that are happening due to there being nothing but unbelievable things happening.

We, the posters who have always despised Trump, figured this out long ago and that's bad? No group convinced me to have the opinion I have. I have frikken eyes as does everyone here. Jesus, what a s**t show. Watching that just hurts my heart and makes me sick to my stomach.

What's happening down there right now is terrifying. Only 10 days in and the Trump administration seems to be doing everything in their power to systematically destroy just about everything that country stands for. I have a lot of friends and family in the U.S. and they're all horrified, disgusted, and embarrassed about everything that's going on.
