I implore all of you to listen to conservative talk shows in Canada. From what I've heard they're all basically saying "you have to admire a man who follows through on his word." It's the only leg they can stand on. For every person who calls in and says I love Trump and I wish I was living in the US, I am sure they are ignoring the 100 phone calls of listeners who are fearful and stressed at the Trump administration.

If the devil announces that he's going to impose 1000 years of pain, pestilence and slavery, and then follows through on it in his first week, are we going to have people stand up and commend him for being a man of his word?

He will be impeached by the same people doing the gerrymandering.

So Google Engineer Yonatan Zunger wrote a pretty interesting article...

https://medium.com/@yonatanzunger/tr...1d5#.weir242ej

Quote:
That is to say, the administration is testing the extent to which the DHS (and other executive agencies) can act and ignore orders from the other branches of government. This is as serious as it can possibly get: all of the arguments about whether order X or Y is unconstitutional mean nothing if elements of the government are executing them and the courts are being ignored.

Yesterday was the trial balloon for a coup d’état against the United States. It gave them useful information.
...and by interesting I mean terrifyingly plausible.

No, it would be a start. There's an entire string of people in the current administration and supporting it, that need to go, before things even get close to being fixed. And on top of that, the rest of the country needs to step up, and the Democrats need to get their #### together in a big way, and revamp the party and get some real candidates in there, instead of worrying about legacy candidates that they think they "owe" something to, and putting them into the candidacy position.

Both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are broken and increasingly extremist and dirty.

What America needs is a well-organized and funded pragmatic third party that is ideologically in between the two existing disasters to dispel the notion that America has to be one or the other. Both parties need to rebuild since this was the first election I've ever seen where both candidates seemed shockingly unelectable.

Trump did a few alright things (Like Keystone), but went full idiot pretty fast.

Well, voting for a President because he says what he thinks, seems like a good idea.

Google Doodle today is well timed. Celebrating the birth of Fred Korematsu who was a civil rights activist objecting against the Japanese internment camps.

Google raising millions for refugee causes over the weekend.

ACLU raising over $10 million in one day

Starbucks pledging to hire 10,000 refugees in the US and world wide.

It helps to remember there is still good in some parts.

But then on the flipside you have Preibus saying not mentioning Jews in the holocaust statement was on purpose, the whole "who cares if we vetted you thoroughly and gave you a visa you don't get to come home" and all the other, quite frankly, scary crap.

I'd agree to an extent, but only one gives itself a mandate of 4/8 years of obstructing, repealing, investigating, and anything else in it's power to get rid of the other parties leader.

The use of random quotations furthers my belief he's functionally illiterate.

Is Trump going to be the President that has signed the most executive orders in history? He seems to be quite busy with those things.

He'll really have to get hopping if he wants to beat Roosevelt (Franklin) at more than 3500.

Bannon is one scary dude. He's the shadow and brains behind Trump.

Read this stuff

https://www.buzzfeed.com/lesterfeder...rO#.jq2Qeo8VeV

Hopefully this is picking up steam. But calling Bannon the real president over social media might start pissing the narcissist in chief off enough to have him tossed (doubtful but we're talking about a child POTUS here).

It's interesting that he has no problem using the term ban. I've read a lot of comments from right wingers saying that it is not a ban, and that it is just left wing media brainwashing us by calling it a ban. I've noticed Fox news goes out of their way to not call it a ban.

#BoycottStarbucks trending because Trump cultists are melting down that the Starbucks CEO said he'd hire 10,000 refugees in the next five years. Curiously one of their biggest non-racist reasons for opposing refugees is they belief they'd contribute nothing and just be welfare mooches. Oh irony, it's gonna be delicious tasting you for the next little while.

As much as it's insane, Bannon and those folks aren't dummies. They are testing the waters, they are trying to desensitize, they are working to make it seem like it's the same minority that are protesting. Seeing what they can get away with and how far they can go before republicans actually push back.

Heck, maybe they can de-legitimize the media some more by saying that the media is just showing old footage to rile people up. Harden their base, divide the country, etc.
