I smoked weed with my friend's mom and grandma once. All at the same table. His grandma then made us delicious ramen and grilled cheese sandwiches. Smoking weed with older generations is awesome.

I also would like to see Janko up here. But why ruin a good thing he has going on in the AHL. Barring an injury where we need him to replace someone, I think it's perfectly fine to let him develop for the entire year down there.

In 10th grade I smoked weed with my girlfriend and her parents. We watched Evil Dead and listened to Kim Mitchell albums. That was a weird night.

Back on topic, I think Jankowski should finish out the year in Stockton. Learn what he can and bring it to camp next year.

First of all, I apologise for derailing this thread. Really didn't see this spiralling over two pages.

Second, there are 31 games left. The Flames, somehow, are still in the thick of a race. Recall your best prospect. He's not a snowflake. He's a 22 year old who leads his AHL team in scoring in his first pro season.

The Flames have players who are playing too far up the roster. Matt Stajan is a 4th line centre. Asking him to be anything more at this point of his career is folly. Sam Bennett can't play centre in the NHL (currently). Freddie Hamilton is terrible, and now we're out of NHL centres.

We can't avoid recalling him because we 'dont want Gulutzan anywhere near him' (paraphrasing). If we're at that stage, Gully needs his walking papers.

When Pittsburgh fired their coach and recalled a bunch of kids from their AHL team, they found Sidney Crosby a new Dupuis, and they stopped sucking. And then won a Stanley Cup.

Recall Jankowski, Klimchuk and Rittich. Fire the coaching staff. Profit.

Finally, if you ain't high by 2 in the afternoon, go #### yourself.

Didn't Pittsburgh hire their AHL coach and pull up a bunch of players?

Yup. Do that.

Also, just noticed Rasms Andersson has 19 points and is +19??? Wotherspoon is +21, with 11 fewer games and 11 fewer points, and nobody else on the team is even in double digits.

Get Rasmus up here too. I'm done with Kulak for a while.

If you can't tell the difference between weed and crack, perhaps it's you that is out to lunch. Maybe you should go eat a brownie and loosen up.

Just noticed that Janko is in the 2017 AHL all stars. What did he just participate in?

If the Flames seriously see Jankowski in their plans for next year, he really needs to be up here for more than a game or two this year.

He did the puck control relay, 3 on 0 challenge, and the shootout relay.

He seemed pretty good in the puck control, real smooth, won his matchup, but was unspectacular in the other two.

Here are the options I see for Jankowski next season:

1) Jankowski is not as good as an NHL centre as Bennett, so Jankowski is played on the wing

2) Jankowski is a better NHL centre than Bennett, so Bennett is moved to the wing

3) Stajan is moved to the wing or traded so that Jankowski can crack the line-up as a centre

4) Injuries happen at the centre position during training camp

I think the most likely option is 3 or 4, because I can't see the Flames organization wanting to place Bennett on the wing, and likewise, Jankowski has played 4 NCAA + 1 AHL season as a centre and therefore see him staying in that role. Given that Bennett is a 4th OA pick at centre, as well as the importance of centre depth in the league, I see the Flames wanting to make Bennett a franchise centre and will tolerate the learning curve. The same applies for Jankowski.

If the Flames want Jankowski to be on the big team next year, and believe he will be good enough, then I believe he should be up here for atleast 10 games or so to acclimate at this level. Then let him come into camp next year and show that he is ready for the NHL.

I have no insight into what the Flames project as their roster for next year but if he is considered in their plans, this would make sense to me.

What is your suggestion for handling someone that is starting to look like our best forward prospect?
