I think the issue with Brodie's inconsistency this season is more due to the fact that he's playing the left side.

Just my opinion, but that is really insulting to Brodie. Why has been good the last 2 games?
Shouldn't matter.

If so, you have no credibility.

Regardless, why do you underestimate how bad Brodie has been? IMO, if Wideman has that bad an influence on a top player , Brodie perhaps is not the top player you think he is..

Wideman had nothing to do with Brodie's colossal blunders tonight.

I agree that Brodie did not have the greatest game tonight As I stated in my post. I have never stated I had a problem with Hamilton and I like this team more than almost every Flames team in memory. I like all the Flames players except Wideman. I think Chiasson should be on the 3rd or 4th line and Johny and Mono should be at least temporarily separated.

If you would have told me before the season that the Flames would be a one line team this season I wouldn't have been overly surprised. However if you told me that line would be Backlund/Frolik/Tkachuk I would have laughed and said if that's the case it would be a long season.

brodano chemistry was obvious last few years. i still don't understand why the coach's stubborn desire to force lefty shooters to play LD overrides obvious feel/comfort of brodie on RD.

Not aware of him being "fantastic" lately ...or at anytime this season.

Did I miss something?

Wideman has been consistently acceptable last 20 games. Way overpaid but not making big gaffes.

Brodie's turnovers and inability to make smart plays have very little to with the side of the ice he is on at this point. He had been trending up so hopefully a blip.

For all the GG criticism at the start of the year, from people like me, the guy deserves some credit for having the team sniffing the playoffs. Brodie, Monahan, Elliott, Bennett and Gaudreau have all underperformed. Some significantly.

Need to see more hate-to-lose from this team. Where is that fire when down a goal or two?

Tkachuk is the only skater who has consistently shown this.

I went to the movies when it was 1-0.

Looks as if I didn't miss much.

Put Gaudreau back with Bennett and Monahan back with Versteeg.

IMO, would have to add Hamilton, Giordano, Frolic, Backlund, Engelland, Hathaway, Stajan, Ferland , Versteeg, Chiasson...

Maybe too generous but probably not enough...they hate to lose; some are more demonstrative than others.

I'll give you Engelland

The others I can't say I've seen that aspect consistently, but maybe I'm asking for too much

Hamilton doesn't seem like a hate to lose guy...

Who knows, as you don't want to measure that intangible based on what the public sees. But you do wonder if the rest of the league believes Flames are hard to play against.

No comments about Scheiffele spearing Monahan multiple times while he was on the ice in the corner?

What's been up with Ferland lately? I don't mind the fact that he's not scoring much because he may never be much of a scorer, but what's with his numerous brutal turnovers the last number of games??
