Currently dash reads 11.7 l/100kms.
In summer 10-5-11 and winter is 11.5-12.5. This is 97% highway and driving 100 with cruise.

Some golfs, mainly the diesels have a 5 speed still. I learned that trying to merge on an Italian freeway in an Audi A1 we rented. Expected 6 speeds only to find a deadend when going into 6th.

Also, gyp is a cultural/racial slur from Gypsy.
Might as well have asked if Pylon Jewed him out of a gear.

The Golf TDIs were 6 speeds in North America until they met their end.

I actually googled the definition to check that after realizing how it's spelled. There was no reference to Gypsy, so I thought I was good.
Whoops.

11-12L/100km city, +2 L/100km during the winter for additional idling, heat use etc. 14L/100km during the winter is nuts, but it is the part of the price to play for my vehicle. I have a commute that is super high stop and go, thus the reason for the slightly higher average.
Drove on highway straight off a gas station. Highway average was around 7.9-8.1L/KM after several hours driving. I think I usually get around 7.4-7.9 in the summer.
I probably drive around 18-24k per year.

Holy crap. A little racial sensitivity here???
I'm a Jewish guy that sells Hitler's dream car. I've forgiven history. Plus S-Class Benz's and BMW 7's are lovingly referred to as Jew Canoes. That's a compliment. Right?
Those slant eye cars..... don't get me started on those though.

9+ was with mixed highway and city use apparently. I've been almost exclusively in the city of late and my rate is closer to 14 L/100.

your right, I did the calculation of km to gas fill up. and the truck calculation is wrong. I'm at 8.8L/100km which is still pretty damn good. considering that I idle it a fair bit in the winter and run it in 4x4 a lot of the time
The main reason would be the work truck and it has a speed monitor and I cannot go more than 10% over which curbs the speeding.

8.8 is pretty nuts for a half ton pickup

8.8l/100km is still insanely good. I think at that even Ford would be interested in how its possible as they have 12.2 in the city and 9 for the highway on their site. If you can consistently hit 8.8 in the city, are you down at like 6.5 on the highway? That's as good as most cars I think.

So... is this what we are doing?
We are just going to accept the completely ridiculous claim as though it could be true?
I didn't know we were such strong believers in here... I might finally have enough faith to ask you all to donate to my gofundme account to help save the endangered Albino Polar Bear.
