Guns N' Roses

Vanic
Jack U
ZHU
Major Lazer
Disclosure
Miike Snow
Thomas Jack
Ellie Goulding
M83
LCD Soundsystem (Not a big fan of their music but seeing them live might change that)
Zedd
Chainsmokers (although they SUCKED last time I saw them)
Lido
Sam Feldt
Calvin Harris

Seems like a pretty weak line up for non-edm though. Maybe I'm just out of touch.
The techno lineup is actually quite good (by techno I mean the actual sub-genre, not dance music as a whole). As a huge fan of the Drumcode label, I'd give anything to have someone from the label play here, let alone that entire group at one event. Been trying to see Adam Beyer for a while now. Even when I go to Europe in the summers I manage to miss him every time

Adam Beyer
Ida Engbeg
Marco Carolla
Nicole Moudaber
Nina Kravitz
Dubfire
Maceo Plex
John Digweed

For a tech fan like myself, that's a pretty stellar group and almost worth the admission. I'm much more a fan of the underground dance scene and I'd prefer this lineup compared to the lineup when I went back in 2014. But if you're a more mainstream big room EDM fan, you might not like this coachella lineup. I predict a lot of the kids will be whining and complaining (and they already are).

I've been listening to Parov Stelar recently and he's pretty entertaining. If you're a fan of electro house, you'll love him. He's got quite the jazzy/swing dance sound and it worth checking out.

I'll also be amazed if Guns n Roses even performs. I have an ongoing bet with my cousin that Axel doesn't even show up. My cousin bet he shows up, but is either too wasted to perform or they get canned halfway through their set.

I agree with everything except your comment about GNR. Coachella isn't going to be their first show of the year so you would think they would have their act together by the time Coachella rolls around.

The Sahara-tards will be upset this year......

Just got back from vacation and saw the lineup and it looks awesome! I'm SUPER pumped for Coachella this year!!! LCD is my all time favourite band, so it can't get much better than seeing them on top of the lineup.

After that, there are a ton of great acts that I'm really looking forward too:
-Underworld!!!!!!!
-GNR!!!!
-M83
-Grimes
-Miike Snow
-Sia
-Ice Cube
-A$AP Rocky
-Courtney Barnett
-RUN THA JEWELS!!

Should be a great year

For those going to Coachella - ice cube confirmed that his performance is a NWA reunion. I'm sure that will be a great show.

So how did everyone enjoy Coachella?

This was the second time I've been (last year was my first), and while I think it was definitely busier, still had a great time.

Highlights for me were Rufus Du Sol, Sia, Disclosure, Alicia Banks, Zhu, M83, RL Grime, Ice Cube/Dre...probably many more I'm missing.

I had a great time! My 6th year going, and this was probably my second favorite year behind 2011.

Sia was definitely the highlight for me. That performance was incredible.

Some of my other faves:

-LCD Soundsystem: They sounded fantastic and put on such a great show. I had a blast.
-Underworld! Finally got to see these guys and it was worth the wait. The last 15-20 minutes were insane. It was fun to have all the old people take over the Sahara - this was the first time I was in there in 3 years or so, it was great!
-Grimes
-Ice Cube
-Disclosure
-Chris Stapleton
-2manydjs
-Guns N Roses! They were actually a ton of fun. Sounded great and put on a fun show.

Definitely felt like the year that EDM took over. Some of the crowds were insane. I tried to see Flume, Chainsmokers, Jack U and Zhu but couldn't really get anywhere close.

Pretty much your standard recent Coachella lineup, some good, some bad, some terrible, some repeats.

Seems like it would make more sense to swap the day 1 and 3 lineups to keep more people there for the full 3 days. Although Justice alone would be worth staying for IMO.

DJ Shadow and DJ Khaled on separate days would be more than enough to keep me around. Holey moley.

interesting lineup! Not the greatest but definitely not the worst in my years.

Hans Zimmer! The composer! That should be awesome.

Looking forward to another great year.

That first day is horrible... Beyoncé and Kendrick aren't my thing but they're not bad headliners. That said, outside of those two that's a pretty terrible lineup. The only act on any day I'd be remotely interested in is Arkells.

Radiohead, despite not getting lots of radio play anymore, has a huge following. Publications like Pitchfork and The A.V. Club eat everything they make up. They certainly do have headlining power, particularly for day #1, when many people have yet to arrive.

I do agree overall, this lineup is pretty weak. A lot of bands who had moderate popularity about 5 years ago.

I think Coachella really needs to focus on having 3 huge acts each night that will play at the end of the day. Then fill the day with moderate acts that people can drift to depending on their preferences.
