Wow, Flames are playing some serious good hockey right now. Loving the defence, great positioning and stick work. Lots of great poke checks. Is Johnson really playing lights out or making the saves he should make and the odd steal? Kipper stole games, making saves no human should make. Has Johnson flat out stolen a game? I feel the Flames have played very well for the past month as well and have been unlucky in most games. Don't get me wrong, Johnson has been awesome but it feels like some around here are not giving the team, the skaters, enough credit.

Awesome little streak we are on here. Lots of guys playing some very good hockey.

Glad the Flames have figured it out. I'm not embarrassed to say I felt the first 20 games were among the worst I've seen the Flames play since they came to Calgary. I hated the way they were playing, stopped watching/listening to games and had no interest in using our company tickets to attend games.

This will be the last year we have seats so I hope they have a deep playoff run.

That was for missing a team meeting, not for bad performance.

But he has not been good this year. You could say that about most of the Stars right now.

I've noticed them doing a good job of clearing the lanes so Johnson has a good view of the first shot and boxing out strongly on the occasion Johnson does give up a rebound.

To be fair I think that's a little misleading with the 2 goal losses that ended with an empty net goal.

Those are 1 goal games for all intents and purposes.

In reality it's closer to 9-5-2 if you add the 1 goal games where they gave up the EN. A couple were probably 2 goal deficit ENs though.

What a crazy ride already this season has been. This little win streak has saved the season, and I feel like we will look back at the end of the season as we fight for a playoff spot and say yeah, this stretch is why we have a chance.

Yeah 8 of our first 10 home games were one goal leads or tied going into final 4 minutes. We won two in OT lost the rest of the 8. Not the worst thing in the world, but you're right that record being skewed

Funny thing is I actually think the Flames can play much better than this. If the Backlund line can keep up there play there is a real chance we can see the offense of this team take off.

Baby steps. Right now they are finding ways to win close ones but I agree.

Seems they were a bit more hesitant to take shots tonight, a little bit more concerned with possession and playing it safe than funnelling everything towards the net like last game. But with a bit more killer instinct and north-south play they could be blowing teams out more often than they have. I don't mind them playing it close to the vest though because they're finding success in doing it.

I'm not saying that winning the whole shebang but I think this team has more to offer. The defense is much improved and we are starting to see our offensive players find chemistry and success. Yes things can slide but it looks promising to me.

Gulatzan even said he would reign it in a bit with the Stars and we saw that. Maybe we are starting to see the team scheme per team rather than in general? Open it up against a strong defensive team in the Ducks but tighten it open against a strong offensive team?

I don't know, I'm on my last drink of a 26 of vodka but I'm loving this team right now.

We're the Anaheim Ducks of last year.

Anyone else think Jamie Benn went from underrated to overrated pretty quickly? He's still a great player but he's very overrated defensively and he's been the leader of this craptacular defence Stars team for a while and they haven't played good defence in a long time.

At some point the captain needs to take some heat. He was coasting all game and even in the game against us where he scored twice he looked to be coasting.

Just finishing watching the game.

Looks like the dynamic duo is back. The team looks completely different with Johnny buzzing all over the ice and Moneyhands playing like we know he can.

Go Flames Go!

So fun to read these PGTs after wins!

I can feel that CP is much more relaxed again :-) As of now it looks like the new system was really hard to learn for some guys, but now, when everybody understood, it looks like a great "pro" system. Really like our possession and team game. There are no floaters on the ice. Nice to see guys like Ferly, Hathaway, Tkachuk play like they play. Frols with Backlund, what a dynamic duo! Speaking of Backs, he is beyond awesome this season. So fun to watch him. He is like mistake free hockey player so far. Glad to have his signed stick at home :-) /met him in Znojmo, Czech republic, before WC in spring/. Now when Johnny is back and Monny is finding his old self, this team looks really, really promising! Defence playing really sound defensive game, Johnson beyond everything. It can be very, very interesting season!

I am glad guys turned the season around. I am really much into every game, really passionate, nervous etc....and that stretch of bad games.... that was not good for my health :-) I took a few games off, used some sleep and we are fantastic since then! Love mornings in radio after wins, my mood is excellent and maybe our listeners here in Czech republic can maybe recognize I have more optimism in my voice :-)

The best part is that if we will make PO /and I can feel we will/......we can do more damage than we did back in 2014....just thanks to this more suitable style of play for this part of the season.....

Guys......I hope this will be the season to remember!

Go Flames!

Greetings from Czech republic
