He probably got knee capped and some cement shoes that took him to the bottom of Lake Minnewanka.

Wow Dion. That's dark and eerily specific.

TRUMAN HOMES leaves condo owner to deal with his insurance company as is standard protocol for minor post-warranty claims.
MILLENNIAL fails to realize that he is not a rare snowflake.

You really think that's why he put a self ban on? Because he is... embarrassed?
You don't think there is a much more obvious answer (other than being taken out to Lake Minnewanka)?
Considering what probably happened, you post has laughable timing, but who knows.

Members on this forum take self imposed bans all the time. He probably felt he was spending too much time on line and needed a break.

He's probably been asked or advised to stop posting negative information in social media regarding Truman homes as part of some effort to come to an agreement on restitution.

I picture him as a trades person who spends his days telling people "Don't worry, it's good enough".

Clarkey's choice of words were poor, but I found Polak to be a little over the top. He also came across that a part of him was enjoying the drama.
I hope his place is repaired and he isn't out of pocket.

I hope the media attention causes Truman and other builders to enact some kind of quality control.
It would be nice to have builders differentiate amongst themselves with quality stats.

It's a sad tale of one man trying to take on a corporation on his own. Failure driving him first to the drink, and then to self imposed exile from a hockey forum. Who knows where from here. Likely a crushing heroin addiction.

This isn't the first or last time corners are cut.
They also do differentiate themselves. By price. As bad as it sounds you get what you pay for more times then not.
I think it would be BS if Polak is out of pocket for This at all.

His condo's insurance is covering it, he is responsible for their deductible (about $8k). His insurance will cover the $8k, but he has to pay the deductible and the resulting rate increase.
This is the precise reason you have a home inspection done prior to possession and proper document review.
