One of my favourite blow-out games of all-time: http://www.flyershistory.com/cgi-bin....cgi?H19920660

So many great stats in that game.
13 even strength goals for the Flames.
6 points by Fleury and Bob Reichel
+9 evening for Fleury
-7 for Dougie Wilson
Perry Berezan somehow manages to finish that night even.
Blowout games are awesome.

I vividly remember that game and the 10-0 win over Ottawa the next season.

Ha ha. Wow. Doug Wilson at a sparkling -7 on the night, and Fleury with a not-too-shabby +9.

My favourite blowout game stat: during a 2011 game against Atlanta, Maple Leafs defenseman Brett Lebda finished the game a -3.

The Leafs won 9-3.

I was also at that game. Gary Roberts also got a hat trick and was given first star.

So Dana Murzyn's came out of no where and scored a hat trick for the first and only time in his career, and it still wasn't good enough to earn first star on the night.

I felt so bad for the guy.

There definitely was a Zalapski with the Zalapshot that I heard many times on Sports at 11:30, but can't give you anything else that you are seeking.

Side note: And true story. I randomly crashed a wedding as it was beside the Christmas party I also crashed with buddies at the Sheraton in about 2004 or '05. The wedding band was led by the great Mike Lownsborough.

I used to love watching "Sports at 11" not just for scores and highlights. I just love the goofiness of these guys. Mike Lownsbrough, Mike Toth and Joe Sports. They also show a lot of stuff about the Flames and Stampeders. I wish Global 7 bring Sports at 11 back.

Pretty sure Collin Smith (A.K.A. Joe Sports) wasn't a part of that crew. He came later on. Pretty sure he started at A Channel well after Sports at 11 left the air.

Speaking of blow outs I still remember the 9-2 game 3 against the Sharks in 95.

I still have trouble getting over how they lost that series. Fleury led the playoffs in points per game and goals per game while Housley led the playoffs in assists per game.

And if I'm not mistaken I think Brodie finished an even that night even though he played almost 30 minutes.

Supernatural game. Flames out-shot 29-0 in the 2nd yet score 3 goals

1st 2nd 3rd total
San Jose Sharks 5 29 8 42
Calgary Flames 11 0 10 21

The shot clock must have broke in the second.

Good Catch!!! Looks like 15 shots in the second based on the goalie stats.
