I swear they have just kept shrinking the portions, so that what is called supersize is really just what large was 10 years ago.

Look at a Big Mac. How the hell do they get off calling that "big"?

I boycotted Rotten Ronnys years ago, before that crappy documentary. I suggest anyone who lifts weights or isn't fat and useless do the same.

last time i ate there was several years ago when i was in school and was with some friends (i didn't even want to eat there back then, but alas others did). when i picked up the burger and saw the stream of liquid fat running down my fingers that's when i swore i'd never step foot inside another mcdicks. i mean it's not like the other fast food joints are healthy or anything, but at least they seem to resemble real food

They don't grill there burgers like most places do. From what I know (and I could be wrong) is they basically cook them in a oven type of dohicky. So a lot of water is trapped in the burger. So when some bites into it is trips both water and fat, making it look really really fatty.

Does anyone here work for McDicks that can explain it?

Shouldn't you suggest that the fat people do so?

well water doesn't usually harden and require you to use soap to get it off your hands. it was pure grease, no question

Nope, you are wrong. Next time you go, look and you will see the burgers do get grilled in a clamshell grill; cooking both sides at the same time. From the grill they move to a warming tray; which is the "oven type of dohicky" you see then pulling patties from to make burgers.

As for the healthyness, well as with anything you should always be watching what you are eating. I'm still eating regular McDonalds food as part of my weight loss strategy. In the last 8 weeks I've lost 9 pounds.

I was referring to things like a Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder; as opposed to their lighter menu options.

I love McDonalds food! It gives me the quick energy I need to take those afternoon naps in my office. Winter is coming soon, and you gotta keep your strength up! I saw SuperSize me and loved it. I eat even more Rotten Ronalds than I used to just to fight the power of TV. You don't want that TV taking hold.

You know..."taking hold."

Anyway, Monopoly sucks. Go play BloodRayne.

I am afraid to ask but what sort of diet is that? The only way I can see someone losing weight while eating regular mcdonalds is through eliminating everything in ones colon.

It's really quite simple. If I have a Big Mac meal for lunch (about 1100 calories) then I make sure I do it on a day when I am walking home (1 hour) as well as I can only have a very light dinner.

And I only do it once a week.

It's all about lifestyle changes that you can live with. All I've done is cut down on portions, and increased exercise.

This is about the smartest diet tip I've heard in a while, and one that I live by as well. Like you, I eat fast food on occasion, and it is not as bad as many here are saying. The trend nowadays is to chastize all who eat this unholy McFood, and I hate that. Eating "healthy" like at Subway et al is a complete crock, as there is just as much fat in a regular Sub as a meal at McDonalds (assuming you add sause to your sub). most food is not great for you, no matter where you go, becasue almost all of it is highly preserved and loaded with fillers and nitrates. That said, none of it is as bad as SOME people will tell you.

The best way to get healthy is to watch you're calorie intake (regardless of what you are eating), and to exercise. Everything in Moderation!

Good for you Ken, I admire that you didn't hesitate come out and admit McDoinalds as a part of you're diet, especially with all of the other
know-it-alls on this board potentially salivating at the chance to flame you fore what you said!!
