Any idea if the flames will put him on IR? Question is purely for selfish reasons as I want to be able to put him on IR on my yahoo fantasy team. Fantasy reasons aside tho, I understand the benefit would be to free up cap space and call ppl up? Are there other benefits to IR'ing him?

Plus he probably doesn't want to miss out on some home cooked thanksgiving grub. I just hope he asked his parents if it was okay if the team came.

on Yahoo you can put him on IR since they have him listed as being OUT. I have him in two of my pools already and did that.

Kanzig is too slow to chase anyone down. The game will be over by the time he gets to them.

So based on those videos don't the Wild deserve a review? Intent to injure is punishable is it not? Multiple slashes when he wasn't even near the puck demonstrates intent to injure.

And damn he always played awesome on the east coast trip where his family and friends are. Pisses me off.

Not that I would want the Flames to bring up Kanzig for this, but it seems you aren't familiar with Kanzig's skating ability. Think of him as a bull. Can you out-run a bull? No way in hell. You will have to run in tight little circles. People that don't get run over by bulls are the ones that are agile and shifty, especially running in little circles.
The term 'bull in a china shop' is so overused, but it is so apt for Kanzig. He beat Brodie in mountain climbers during training camp last year (or was it this year? I somehow can't remember now). That's incredibly impressive for a guy his size and weight. Just needs to work on his lateral movement, probably his first step, but boy does he get going. He isn't NHL ready, that's for sure.

Wishing for violent ends to careers is one of the most classless things I've ever seen on this board. Please go punch yourself in the face a few times.

I agree with the sentiment but the glaring issue is that this is exactly what the Wild did to Gaudreau. Targeted attacks with intent to injure and they face no penalty. Intent to injure and the player is hurt long term....
NHL response; crickets.
If their goal is to drive Calgary fans away good work NHL, enjoy not getting my business. The Gaudreau slashing and the Wideman ref bias has definitely soured my position as a fan. The last year has been the opposite of fair competition.
