Yesterday I was trying to remember when this had happened before with Wideman and I think you're right!

High profile rookies and referees?! Something needs to be done about Wide-dog before he kills someone!

Yes, 2013-2014. They stomped us 7-3. Seguin had 4 goals and Benn had 6 points. And I drank lots of beer in anger.

A PP goal at home, is my only ask for this game. Pseudo-weekend game, hopefully they give the crowd something exciting to watch.

Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
Just a reminder to those who are freaking out about Tkachuk's injury. Gulutzan said it's “not concerning."

Gulutzan: "He’s just not going to be able to play with where the stitch is.”

We have won three of the last four against them...

With the PP struggling the way it has been, why not play Wideman?

Keeping the puck out of the net is struggling too.

Because he is bad defensively . The other problem is that you have to shuffle the d-lines, to put him in line-up. He is to slow to play with Engelland. Hamilton has his own issues and shouldn't have to cover up for Wideman. It kinda leaves splitting up Gio or Brodie in order to fit Wideman in. IMO WIdeman should only come into line-up if there is an injury.

Unless Engelland is the guy that comes out? Not sure why he is never considered to be taken out. He has had some bad games himself and doesn't contribute offensively

Headed to the dome tonight with a buddy from out of town who's a hardcore stars fan so it should be good. Please Flames win or I will have to hear about it all weekend.
5-2 Flames - goals by Johnny, Sean, Brodie, Frolik and Vey

Because he's been the most consistent defenseman for us this season... And has 4 points which is more than Brodie and Hamilton.

Is that rock you've been living under cozy?

I missed the last couple games due to having to work, but from people were saying, the Flames were terrible in both. Wideman might inject some life into the PP. He's great at getting quality shots on net from the point. He has 2 PP goals and has only played on the PP in 6 games.

I didn't think Widemand and Gio were too bad together, and Brodie and Engelland always play well together. I agree he's not great defensively, but he's not as bad as people are making him out to be. He was good enough to be in their top 4 in 14/15.

too bad that Tkachuk can't go, but I like the looks of those lines and pairings. Hope the team is "prepared" tonight.
