Palin? Omarosa? Rudy?

Yikes, it's like he's forming a reality show for his cabinet.

We really are going to be pining for W by March 2017. That alone might be Trump's greatest accomplishment.

I'm sorry, but what? Obama was in charge through the entirety of black lives matters, Hillary 'apparently' bussed the same people to Trump rallies. I don't recall seeing them at Democrat rallies. Obama deserves credit for simply not getting it done, and Trump pointed that out loud and often.

People saw through it all, and saw Obama=Hillary=did not get the job done.

The people that saw through that are probably the group that ultimately made Trump successful. This is not about racism, fascists or whatever else the left is now wanting us to believe. People are sick of the system, and the only choice was Trump.

Well the next 4 years are at least going to be interesting if not a complete cluster^^^^. I feared this would happen as the polls haven't been accurate for a few years.

The Yanks went for the strongman stereotype, who they think is going to protect them but will probably make the world more unsafe. I hope he learns on the job quicker than Bush did and he turns out not so terrible. I'm telling myself to give him a fair chance.

As for his racism, I believe his birther support showed where he stands. Hopefully he just keeps this prejudice in the background and doesn't make it a politically stand as it will just cause more American violence probably worse than the Islamic terrorists cause.

To go from a great man in Obama to the sleaze that is Trump is a little disheartening but that's the way the world is. Something good is followed by something bad followed by something good.

Sorry for the disjointed thoughts.

Do you know have the American government system works? Just curious.

In a group of 10 Trumps 20% "deplorables" could form the majority. We got in this mess because establishment republicans couldn't pick between 4 guys so trump won the split. I think as much as many were holding their noses there is a minority that happily voted for trump.

And this is what people are talking about when they say they're scared for women, minorities, etc., under a Trump presidency. It's not necessarily his proposed policies, as that the rhetoric used by him and his supporters has been validated by the results of the election. But yeah, good thing they showed all those lefty elitists!

Today, I went to go stock up on cigarettes, energy drinks and alcohol. I got out of my car and made it halfway to the store before a man in a MAGA hat grabbed me by the crotch and whispered "Are you scared now, you liberal ####?"

I froze. I ran back to my car once he walked away and drove straight home. I need to remove the Bernie sticker on my car, to be safe. I don't think I'll feel safe in this country ever again.

This is now public for sharing, and yes I did file a police report.

These comparisons between the US voting in Trump and us electing Trudeau are starting to get very tiresome.

We voted in a charismatic, well spoken leader who had been in politics for nearly a decade and who was running on a solid platform that connected with many people, especially on social issues which were in stark contrast to the opposition parties. Yes he happened to be a teacher in his younger days, Crazy.

That is not even in the same hemisphere as electing a wealthy real estate tycoon who reached stardom by starring in a reality tv show whose campaign literally blurred the line between parody and reality and was full of the most outrageous, offensive, demeaning and backwards comments that even forced his team to take away his access from his own TWITTER ACCOUNT. This man had zero experience in politics, his agenda publicly attacked minority groups, seriously suggested building a walled boarder with a country the US has a free trade agreement with and he insulted the family of a fallen solider because he was muslim. He won simply by taking advantage of the lowest common denominator in the American voting populous.

Get a grip.

Sorry man, you just aren't making sense here. If you are trying to debate something, spell it out.

Hillary was running in an election that had she won, she would have replaced the current president, Obama. In the eyes of many voters, she was basically the same as Obama, and if they didn't like the job he did, they did not vote for her.

How does this demonstrate a lack of understanding???

Everyone around here seemed fine with the Electoral system when it looked like Trump had no path to 270. If you had no problem with it 3 days ago you shouldn't have a problem with it now.

Drudgereport is the most widely viewed news publication in the United States now.
Infowars routinely gets more views on their videos than mainstream media youtube videos.

People in this thread can deny it all they want.

He was the most disliked candidate ever. He was fortunate to go up against the 2nd most disliked candidate who did nothing to energize her base. The story here is Hillary lost and the Republocan vote came home.

Sure. Originally you said

Obama was in charge for eight years and did nothing to correct existing problems, which Hillary said she would fix. Trump nailed it by saying that she was just like Obama, and would not get anything done.
That speaks to policy and government.

And now you're going on about BLM and rallies. You seem to be shifting your goal posts to your original point.

They disapproved of Obama so much he's even less disapproved of than Reagan.

Pretty much. The Republican vote came home because they had nowhere else to go. The Democrats literally picked the one candidate that Republicans couldn't hold their nose for and vote Democrat.

And even then, couldn't energize the base as much as McCain or Romney.
