Very much this.
I've spent a lot of time talking politics with a bunch of Serbian and Iranian folk recently, and they just don't understand the American attitude to their democracy - the sense of entitlement that Americans have and their complete failure to comprehend what an absence of democracy and stable government looks like.
This is part of the reason they're so content to blow it up: they take their democracy for granted now and are willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. The bulk of them simply don't understand the full ramifications of what this means, and certainly not in any visceral way.

You might think that may happen, but NFL playoffs are coming up and a new season of Game of Thrones is just around the corner!

I'm glad common sense won out. On a side note, I heavily invested in Dairy Queen stock. The prospecting of hedging on a Trump presidential victory should be good for sales, with it being a staple of every safe space.

You people told me Trump wouldn't win, so I only held half my money in cash. I should have liquidated it all.

According to NBC, the S&P stopped at 5% down in futures trading because that's the limit.
Oil was down $1.70 at one point and has rebounded a bit to be down about $1

Not to mention that the mods volunteer their time. They don't get paid. I guess if someone wanted to pay standard lawyer fees maybe an in person hearing might be possible lol.

lol. Okay a virtual hearing then.
