Either way, I hope the losing party is able to wake up and return strong in 2020.

No Kanye West though

Can't thank but 'Clinton in 7' is a hilarious slogan.

A+ material.

The polls aren't that wrong on this race. Hillary +1.5 is well within the expectations. And her vote is poorly distributed so it doesn't take much to make the map look like this.

One big, good thing, is that rural counties always report way ahead of urban/suburban areas. And rural is way Trump and urban is way Clinton. Still this is way too close.

Michael Moore called the dynamics of this more accurately than anyone.

I don't think Trump won because of racism, sexism, and nationalism (well maybe the last one). But he definitely didn't lose because of them (meaning he needs the full support of that kind).

Embarrasingly, I have a close friend who is a Trump supporter and have been fairly vocal on facebook

he is white, middle aged and has a masters degree

He is against the passage and immigration of Muslims

The hate is real... even in Canada

Which displays the incredible ignorance of the American people. You don't change the status-quo through electing one person. You do it by making fundamental change by taking out every incumbent. You know, what Albertans did.

The election after that will look roughly like this.

Idiocracy has become prophetic.
