Ya I am pretty sure Jeff, or maybe some other crew goes through them in the edit to make it suspenseful for us at home, but I doubt they actually know who placed what vote when they organize them.. good eye catching it being Ken's to be played last.

I read an interview with Jeff where he said him and the producers go through the votes and arrange them to get the most suspense at the time. It can take 15 minutes or so, which seems ridiculously long to me.
I was so hoping Figtails got married by Jeff. Would have been a great survivor moment, especially given that Figgy went home. Would have been more interesting to see Jeff announce at the next challenge they were married and Ken was voted out. The rest of the game would have been hilarious.
I didn't think I was going to watch survivor after the last season, but I'm glad I did. It's entertaining again.

Tribal council takes upwards of 2-3 hours to film, too. Bonkers.

When they first merged, I was pretty confident that Adam would vote out the couple.
But in this episode I was a little scared. He did bring up a good point about having to trust people he never met and even then aligning with Ken and Jess didn't put him in any form of a large alliance post-merge, depending on how things shake up. There was also a confessional where it looked like Ken had some tears in his eyes, when he was talking about not giving up, and I was afraid that meant Adam had hinted he wasn't going to save him. Glad I was wrong.
I'm hoping for a Zeke, Dave, Ken, Adam and Jess majority alliance, especially if they can get Will (or whatever his name is) when they merge. That would be great. First impressions though I hated pretty much everyone of those guys.

I'm assuming that this season was filmed before anyone saw last year right?
Because we're not seeing the complete randomness of the game that last years had with the very mercenary temporary voting blocks that completely changed the game and made it seem a lot more fast paced then this years.

Filmed from April-May this year. So half of last season had already aired. Voting blocs were already a thing.

I could have sworn I heard someone use the term 'voting block' in one of their interviews though. Coincidence?

Ya, I remember hearing that too. Wasn't that episode season shown a year ago now? This was filmed in April, so they would have seen it.

You're right. The term was coined during Cambodia (Season 31) but the strategy existed long before. Cambodia was just the first season where the majority of players were playing this way.
31 and 33 were filmed after 32 so it makes sense that someone in Millennials vs Gen X is familiar with the term but castaways in Kaoh Rong (32) were not as it was filmed before Cambodia (31).

Looks like the reunion show is going to be epic. It sounds like Figgy and Taylor have a major hate fest going on line. Also

Really the only reason I'm watching is because of Mikaela. Girls got game.
Such a let down after the allstars season, where all the players took their emotion out of it and played to win at all costs. It was like watching a high stakes, fast paced chess game which is what it should be all about.
Showmances make me want to barf.

Michaela's game is fun to watch but I'm not sure it's a winner's game.

It makes zero sense because a relationship is your ticket out of the game. So if it's not legit and you have no actual feelings, there is zero incentive to do it. What an idiot.

That had to happen, she was way to smart and way to dominating in physical challenges, as soon as she did the shells and rocks you could see a laser dot on her neck.
I have to give Jay credit for his death stare and the Yes I did it.
Move of the year in terms of getting rid of a real momentum type of competitor.

Wow....Easily the most shocking vote of this season. With the amount of screentime she was getting, I thought Michaela was easily a lock to go deep.
Her shock and the dramatic stare down that ensured between her and Jay in the middle of a vote will go down as a great Survivor moment. Credit to Jay and Will for having the balls to do that. Knowing the merge is next episode, I think it'll end up being a good move for them as I think Michaela would done really well in the individual immunity challenges and would have been difficult to get out like Joe.
Every vote this season has been close or unexpected. Love that the cast is playing hard and are willing to take huge risks.
