I agree, cooler heads will prevail. The Oregon militia utterly failed in the occupation of the wildlife refuge.
Well, sure, but that was just funny. I'm in favour of rednecks being entertaining and unintentionally hilarious.
Just, yknow, don't hurt anyone please. In recompense, I promise to send snacks.

How hard is this? Everyone has the right to their point of view. You can and should criticize its weaknesses, but do it fairly. And it should go without saying, your response to their point of view, no matter how terrible you think it is, cannot be criminal assault. That is unjustifiable. There is no "yeah, I don't condone this, but he probably had it coming". You're victim blaming.
I'm not exactly out on a limb here. Seriously, stop and think about what you've just said, and whether you really want to double down on it.

If Wikileaks, 4Chan, Guccifer2.0, Anonymous, O'Keefe, Stone, Bannon, or anyone else has any bombshells left, today is the day you need to use them. There's nothing but bad narratives out there for Trump right now, the O'Keefe videos had little impact, and every day from this point forward there's diminishing returns on any release as more people make up their minds, many of them voting early.
I'm highly skeptical that there's any bombshells out there, and I might just laugh out loud if, after all these months of the 'just you wait' rhetoric from the alt-right, the worst thing to surface is Clinton empathizing with Lincoln about public and private policy.
All he needed to do was say "Of course I will accept the results of the election. America is the best country and best democracy in the world and we have the best elections. Believe me."
Oh right I was going to bring this up and forgot.
Why didn't Trump just lie!? He lied about it before when he said he would accept the results. He was enroute to 37 or so false statements for the night. He has no problem contradicting himself in the same sentence. Why all of a sudden won't he just give people what they want to hear for this one thing???

there's not much that he can challenge if the election is an overwhelming slaughter. I guess he could challenge at a federal court level, but where's the proof of voter fraud or intimidation that he can take to and prove in court, and is he going to spend the millions to put up that challenge? I doubt it, he's probably looking at the monetary and human costs now.
I actually wonder though in all seriousness if he might have some kind of illness or disorder that is rendering him incapable of rationale behaviour.
Will his people and family let him bankrupt himself trying to destroy the government... probably not. But his brand sells. Controversy and conspiracy sells. I don't doubt that he can continue to get donations and generate revenue from this thing even after the election if he keeps going with his theories.

Maybe is goal now is to produce an overwhelming slaughter.
I mean there is no way the democrats could win Texas and Georgia without rigging the election. How could they win the house when the demographics in the district are set up against them. Its impossible in a two party system for one to have 60% support. The bigger the defeat and the more historicly significant the defeat the more the fix is in.
Conservtive newspapers endorse Hillary -- She obviously did something as previously they had always endorsed GOP.
He can go on and on. For this to work he needs to lose big and in areas the GOP hasn't lost before. Losing the house might be even better because it takes off any checks and balances and all of the 2018 cycle can be how the Dems did nothing with their blank check.

Its TNN time, trumps brand with other peoples money. He's not going to bankrupt himself. He is running all the way to the bank with other investors money.

If Trump wasn't such a disaster they could have swift boated Hillary on her Brazil Speech and her TPP positions combined with her Public and Private persona. It didn't even make a dent with the trump tapes out there.

I think its less about what Hillary did and more about what Trumps done. Frankly in any other election, they would have gone after Hillary on her double speeches, the email leaks, they might have looked harder at the O'keefe video and subsequent firings, the accusation of influence selling with the Clinton Foundation. They would have muddied the waters at the very least.
But I think that even mainstream Conservative media sources looked at Trump and went in no way shape or form should this buffoon sit in the oval office.

Interesting article about Russia's involvement in these elections
Quote:
Putin's own government had been preparing a vast, covert, and unprecedented campaign of political sabotage against the United States and its allies for more than a year.
Quote:
This sort of espionage was business as usual, a continuation of long-standing practice. And during the cold war, both the USSR and the United States subtly, and sometimes covertly, interfered with foreign elections. What changed over the past year, however—what made the DNC hack feel new and terrifying—was Russia's seeming determination to combine the two. For the first time, Russia used a hacking operation, one that collected and released massive quantities of stolen information, to meddle in an American presidential election
The impact of Keith Olbermann's over the top, drama-laden rants have been massively diluted through volume over the years to the point where he mostly sounds like a crazy person... but here's an instance where he seems like just the right guy for the job.
I think I have to disagree with his conclusion, though. If they pull him from the race now, even if it's the GOP that does it, his "people" will absolutely riot. I've no doubt that would procure some terrible results. There's really no good option here.

The bridge was crossed a long time ago. If you're not going to dump him because if the things he's already done, you can't now dump him because of bad poll numbers
I know the Emmy's aren't rigged, but I'd sure like them to rig it so Alec Baldwin wins an Emmy for his Trump SNL portrayal. The meltdown Trump would go on afterward would be incredible.

It's not so much that as, "if we're going to lose anyway, let's reaffirm our commitment to our democratic system of government, and hopefully de-fuse a situation that could result in angry mobs rioting and causing a bunch of property damage and probably doing violence to innocent people". Problem is, I don't know how you get there, unless Trump himself walks back his statement and says "I lost fair and square, now let's support the new President".
