the hallowe'en after payne stewart died in his plane i have it on good authority that gerry forbes went to a party dressed as stewart, with a golf club wrapped around his neck and a scuba tank on his back.

i REALLY hope that's not true, but who knows with that idiot.

Friend of mine went to a flee market and got a bunch of Barbie Dolls and glued them to a shirt. It was histarical watching everyone ask him what he was and then break into laughter when he said "Chick Magnet"

Last year my wife and I went as dim sum: we took the bottoms out of steamers, which we wore on our heads, made a bunch of hand-stiched bbq-pork buns, and painted our faces white. Probably one of my favorite costumes I've ever worn, even if it was basically just on our heads. Not sure if we'll have time to do any costumes for this year.

I once saw a couple go as a 'hot dog and bun' until the guy bent over and squirted into the 'bun' and everyone knew what they really were...

Lampshade on your head.

Make a cardboard bedside table and wear it around your waist.

Put a condom wrapper and a bra on the table.

You're a "one night stand".

A friend of mine goes as Mr T all the time. He's white, but he shaves his head like Mr T, wears jogging pants with work booots, a cut off tshirt and cheap jewellery. The icing on the cake is the make up he wears.....making him "coloured".

Even the black guys we come across think it's hilarious.

That's great!

My wife and I are still mulling over what we're going to do this year. She wants to do something "couple-y"--but the party we dress up for is also our poker night, so we have to do something that still allows us to play cards comfortably.

Our only idea so far is Bonnie and Clyde.

Last year I went as Kiefer Sutherland's character from "The Lost Boys" (best worst movie ever IMO ) and she went as a scary clown, a costume that still scares the **** out of me.

I think this year I'm gonna go as Jack Bauer's aviator sunglasses or possibly his jacket.

I'm too scared of Jack Bauer to actually go as him.

Me and my buddy just finished his costume - he is going in a chair ala the Molson Canadian (I think thats the right commercial). That thing was harder to modify/create than we thought, we budgeted 3 hours, ended up taking about 9 because he couldnt get it so his knees werent killing him.

Even better as Wonder Woman......Any girl that dresses up as Wonder Woman wins first place in my mind. That is far too sexy.

That was my best costume ever. That was in university and some guy I'd been going to school with for three years thought I was some new black kid with bad hair in the class.

After that I bought myself a poncho and a sombrero and put on a "Hello my name is: " nametag that said "Dirty Sanchez".

I know a guy that covered a piece of cardboard in green felt and glued plastic toy soldiers all over the place. He was Iraq.

I've had discussions about a costume with my wife if we have to do something at the last minute. Really easy and not much prep are the pros. The cons is that I would have to drink bud light. Anyways we are thinking about going as a couple from that bud light comercial. I'd be Todd schitler (sp?) and she would be a groupie. Pretty easy. Kind of a cop out because there really isn't anything to it.

i suggest pirate.

Either that was him, or he's unoriginal. This was floating on the Net ages ago.

wasn't him, but i suspect a lot of what appears to be unique and brilliant was done somewhere else and posted online.

been to lots of hallowe'en parties, and seen that only once - it did look pretty professional though, maybe you can buy it at san francisco or something, next to the 'thanks father' pregnant nun costume perhaps?

A buddy of mine went as scuba Steve a few years back. Not sure where he got all his stuff. But he won for that costume.

I have a buddy who went as Oasama Bin Laden the year that 9/11 went down. He printed out a face from the internet and then plastered it on some cardboard, wore a white bed sheet and tied a string around the face to make it a mask. It was pretty damn funny because it actually looked half ass real from a distance. But at the same time ... I couldn't help but feel it was a little to soon
