So we got rid of Bob, despite making the playoffs because the teams advanced stats under him were bad? Now this is a team that has a good Corsi and this is what we get? I know which one I liked better.

Taylor hall has great possession stats which shows how meaningless this stat can be.

Ding ding ding!
Friggin' Oilers and their McTanking lottery luck. They'll still miss the playoffs, but getting swept by them in a home & home is just painful. Sometimes I hate this league.

Means nothing when you're giving up breakaway's and gimmie scoring chances. It's early but the teams biggest problem right now is communication on the ice. This is a early coaching problem . Not ready from preseason

They bought out a $3 million player. You might be right, but I don't know their tipping point.

If they don't like their money wasted, as I'm sure they don't, they're not gonna be happy Grossman is signed to a 1 way deal.

I really wanted to see some emotion from Monahan, Gio, and Gaudreau tonight. Nobody looked upset or angry or anything.

Hamilton has a much better shot than Bouwmeester. He's also much worse defensively. But yeah, they're both great skaters who play soft as butter.

Well you can also probably expect a team to be pushing more when they're down. And the Flames have been down a lot to start the season.

Guys.

We outscored the Oilers 3-1 at five on five.

They beat us on special teams tonight in response to us dominating them on ST on Wednesday.

And the GWG while terrible on Wideman's part was also a fluky bounce.

The Oilers got a bounce, the Flames didn't.

I am concerned about the slow-footed nature of our D (i.e. Engelland being out there at 4-on-4 where Russell used to be) but there is a fix for that right in the press box in Brett Kulak, Gulutzan just needs to give him an opportunity.

The only real thing to be concerned about is the first line's inability to generate zone time. I feel like we need to split them up if we want to get anywhere.

Well Hartley made the playoffs once in 3 years? It wasn't exactly the golden era.

Anytime Dougie wants to play like a nearly $6M defenseman, that'd be ####ing spiffy. He's now played 84 games with this team. Someone please point to a game where he was our best defenseman. Please. I wish to be enlightened. He's a talented kid, but if this team is meant to do anything, he has to to be so much better.

McDavid having 6 points in 2 games makes me want to vomit.

Monahan's skating should be better than it is. It is becoming a concern.

After 2GP, our new goalie has allowed ten goals. #### me sideways with a lunchbox. Really?

Bennett needs to bring more.

Gio doesn't look good.

Wideman and Engelland are a serviceable bottom pairing.

#### me does it suck watching the Oilers look this competent.

Perhaps he's just mesmerized by the awful that emanates from Wideman.

Engelland was the only one with emotion, sticking up for the team

McDavid wasn't the only one with breakaways due to speed. Letetsu joked he hasn't has a breakaway since playing in the minors and I think he had 2 in this game. 11 Shots in the second and third period combined. Really only one good chance which we scored on. Otherwise, really no quality chance during the last 2 periods.

Maybe I just expected a lot more after getting creamed in Wed. Ok I get it first game in new building, all that hype, I didn't sweat the loss too much. Tonight though I was expecting a fire to be lit and keep going. They had it in the first and then what? outskilled or outplayed?

And that's why he will have a spot on the team over Kulak or any rookie on the team.

We need a Engelland on this team.
