Alright, shake off the jitters. A few too many long stretch pass attempts to Johnny and we need at least one elite D pair. Reunite Brodano. Wideman has actually looked okay, put him with Dougie. Staple Grossman's ass to the bench. If it was a Kulak making Grossman-like mistakes at least you could chalk it up to growing pains, but from a guy with over 500 NHL games, that is BRUTAL. Elliott looked very nervous, hopefully his last few saves will let him relax and settle in. Still 2 periods ... make adjustments and remember this is the Oilers.

Hopefully the second period is a hell of a lot better from the Flames side. Was really only happy with the play of the Bennett line and even they had some giveaways.
Also... John Shannon is just awful and clearly making guests feel uncomfortable.
A simple replay on the broadcast would have been nice. I mean that's what a real network would have done. Rogers is garbage though, so I guess this is expected.
Oh yeah no argument there. SN is an embarrassment to hockey broadcasts everywhere.
I've watched games on FSN with much better production value.

I'm assuming the whole signing is related to a lingering injury that Jokipakka is dealing with.
I doubt it and Kulak had a preseason 100x better than Grossman. He is proving to be a absolute joke. This is what made so many fans nervous when he even was invited as a PTO.
I'm actually going to email NHL gamecenter, this is hilariously cheap looking, I'd rather see "commercial break" by a million times than a studdering app AD for cheap apps on an app store. This is on my browser streamed to TV, way to look cheap as hell.
Thats terrible. At least Rogers dosen't due that ####.

Flames can't afford to mess with D setups. We have to avoid the slow start we had last season. Just go with what has worked in the past and make changes if need be.
Exactly. Is it gutsy or arrogant of GG to try something else? If the game ends in a blowout GG will build a pretty poor reputation right off the bat, even if it's just one game. Will be hard to regain trust after that. Hope this is not the case of a young coach thinking he knows better like Eakins did in Edmonton.
