It's one period. Settle down and regroup. Score the next goal and the Oilers will get that losing feeling in their gut again.

Jesus chirst. It's almost like its the first game of the year and all of our preseason games were with half the team missing most of the time.

Wasn't able to watch the first live, but just fast forward watched the first. Grossman and Elliot look like ####.

Less worries about Grossman, he can just be removed. Elliott on the other hand.....

Remarkably stupid. Gulu is no guru.

Yeah the D pairings just have to change. Giving every good player a plug to drag around, not so great. Why on earth do you split up Giordano and Brodie?

And Grossman? Not understanding that signing. Two better options sitting in the press box right now

The NHL reviews all close plays like the Versteeg shot. If it was in they would have buzzed down and the play would be dead and it would be a goal.

Flames can't afford to mess with D setups. We have to avoid the slow start we had last season. Just go with what has worked in the past and make changes if need be.

Wideman makes Grossman look fast. Good God he is slow. A semi truck could go by him by the time he pivots.

I'm actually going to email NHL gamecenter, this is hilariously cheap looking, I'd rather see "commercial break" by a million times than a studdering app AD for cheap apps on an app store. This is on my browser streamed to TV, way to look cheap as hell.

A simple replay on the broadcast would have been nice. I mean that's what a real network would have done. Rogers is garbage though, so I guess this is expected.

Versteeg's shot went of the post with 7:38 remaining in the 1st. Hard to tell at regular speed, but looks like the shot went between Talbot's right arm, off the post, and out the other direction. No goal.

but thx for the replay sportsnet

I've never particularly liked Versteeg but he was an obvious signing with the hole in RW. Best option out there probably.

Not ideal to have that hole on your first line of course.
