Do you think that the loud mouth ignorant opinions need to be surfaced even more than they are now?

Well obviously a thread comprised entirely of back patting would be of the same value as a thread completely devoid of accountability, but that shouldn't preclude posters from bringing those particularly hysterics driven posts and attitudes from being highlighted now that the contract is over.
A blanket statement from a mod to not do that kind of stifles the conversation, no?

Not mutually exclusive.

Sorry, but you're crazy. Calling someone an ungrateful twit because they've been negotiating a deal and wanted one in place is childish. Especially since you've been, and pardon my french here, on your knees for Gaudreau since the day he strolled into Calgary. It's such a ridiculous turn.

It would be funnier if you changed your av to sadfrog instead of the ignore button. It was great when you had "okay" guy as your avatar.

So I was using the thread search function to find Polak's posts for the lol's, and curiously found that there is a Polak#2 user also registered, albeit with 0 posts. Already have the backup account ready, or someone going to be having a Polak parody account?

Good to see that the Gaudreau signing calmed everyone down like most hoped it would.

My allegiance to my favorite sports players doesn't extend to their personalities . I don't know the guy.

I'm just convinced my tone comes off a lot more serious to you guys in your heads then what I intend. It's fun.

And yet you are judging him based off a random comment.
Negotiating a contract does seem like a frustrating time regardless how much he gets paid.

People, people. A good thing happened. Can't we all just be happy together?

You've been here long enough, you know that can't happen.

I'm more so judging the comment. I won't hate him cause he said it, but I think it lacks perspective.
Anyways, you guys are reading way too much into this. Move on already.

I feel kind of bad being as happy as I've been over the past 24 hours.

BT sounds pretty pleased in the presser - but keeps focusing on the game, not the personalities. Good for him.

Since this is derailing the thread perhaps outline your concerns about how the site is moderated and post in the help thread or pm to the moderator account
But yes I don't think we need a bunch of posts about eating crow. I don't think that adds anything.

Well, if you don't like it, don't read it! I mean thats your modus operandi for everything else. So just don't read it, it's that simple.

I suppose the only question I have about this is why, if the rumours of Johnny's ask for an eight-year contract being $7.25 million per year are true, we wouldn't take that deal. Paying an extra $500,000 per year doesn't make much of a difference, especially if we're buying up two additional UFA years by doing so.
Still, I'm thrilled that the wait is over. Time to christen Rogers Place with some Johnny Hockey magic!
