That OT goal reminded me of the game against Chicago last year, where Johnny gets a shot off, then picks Seabrook's pocket, and dekes Darling for the winner.

Starts around 2:20 in.

Unreal play.

He's been Team NA's best player and it's not close.

What a sequence..... Johnny the first back on the Sedin breakaway, and then he's right at the front of the play in the blink of an eye, then he recovers the puck almost like magic, passses to Mackinnon who scores.

What a player.

The weak link on Team NA has been the coaching.

I think the best part is the coach didn't tell the players that they had to win and Finland had to beat Russia.

I think it has something to do with his left winger.

I kinda feel like that guy who loved a band (Gaudreau) before they were popular and am now really annoyed that it took everyone else so long to figure it out (eastern media).

I know he's always had some spotlight but I feel like everyone else is finally catching on to stuff we all have known for years from College, WJHC, young stars tourneys etc.

Yeah it was the most reminiscent of the Nieminen goal. That's the one that popped into my mind. So 2004...

Johnny should have been the first one back considering that he was the reason that NA gave up that breakaway. lol.

Kid had a great game and is an offensive force, but holy hanna he was close to being the goat of the game twice on that shift before setting up the winner.

The left winger should be the guy back there? And not the Center or defenceman?
