In all honesty, and without anti-Oiler bias, McDavid has been probably 4th or 5th best player on NA this tournament.
Johnny, MacKinnon, Rielly, Ghost... Maybe even Matthews ahead of McMiracle.

Given MacKinnon's chemistry with Gaudreau, and MacKinnon's bulldog tenacity, I wonder how a Johnny/Bennett combo instead of Monahan would look?
Then have a Monahan/Tkachuk pairing for the future.
A player on each line to make space, and one to make the plays.

I got a kick out of the SN panel during the intermission. Matthews on his knees, stick handling around a defender on the screen showing the goal. All they do is salivate at McDavid skating through the defenders, then off into the corner.
