Yeah Logan Stanley did NOT look good. Can't believe he was picked 18th overall or something? Yikes.

Stanley looked terrible, but is as long term project for the Jets like Jank was. A stupid reach by Chevy.

I mean how do you miss Tuulola twice?
Or Carroll's goal being unassisted despite Kanzig shooting it from the point and someone passing it to Kanzig from the corner.

The Flames haven't had a decent jerk/agitator who can play for a while. About time they got another one.

I love it. The key to being a jerk is backing it up. And I believe Tkachuk can back it up. Should be a perfect player to complement the team.

Tkachuk was just mean tonight. I thought Jankowski had a strong two-way game. Also felt like Hunter Smith had a strong game, he showed some soft hands in tight today.
For the Jets, obviously Phillips had a very strong game. Loved how he flashed leather.

"How's Tuulola playing, guys?" Pretty sure he did the work on Mangipanni goal. Passed the puck out from the rear of the Jet net into a cluster of Flame and Jet players.

We could use a guy like Tkachuk up on the big club. That's one role that's been missing on the Calgary Flames, a really good pest.
Almost every championship team or really good team has a solid pest. Remember 2004 and Niemenin?

Powerplay Quarterback
Was at the game tonight.
I feel the 2016 / 2017 Flames (and beyond) need a Tkachuk. I feel pretty much any team in the league needs a Jankowski. Four years of college have transitioned him from 'a project' and 'raw' and 'needs to catch up to his growth spurt' into a very polished pro. He can do anything and while I'm not pretending he's a top six or elite scorer.. I'm predicting that when he gets his chance he'll seize the opportunity and never look back. Really no flaws in his game.
And my dream of icing the Swedes as ELC #4 and #5 D-Men from '17 on is still alive. They need one more year of seasoning but they can both be above average middle-pairing guys. Just awesome. If they can both pan-out the Flames could ice the best D-corps in the league for three years for under $20 Million!

Culkin, Morrisson, Andersson, Dyukov, and Kanzig also put in strong games. Especially Culkin, looked NHL-ready.

Tkachuk is One Man Wrecking Crew.
A pest who can back it up. Hard fists.
Then slay you with soft hands.
The Real Deal.
