Woob, I wasn't exaggerating when I said that last night's concert was the best one I've ever been to.
I'm not a person that gets lost in the music at a concert, but there were so many moments last night where I was off wandering in my own world, with Gord guiding the way.
Enjoy it tomorrow!

Is there an opening act for these shows? Doors open at 7 but they're not on till 8:30?

It was louder than playoffs. If it wasn't such a special moment I'd probably say it was uncomfortably loud.

I think they adjusted the time due to the quantity of march being sold. We had what I felt was way too much time before the show started and we barely had time to get to our seats once we got through the lines.

Never really cared for the Tragically Hip, but man, this is basically all class. Is there any accompanying media to the tour? Something like the Glenn Campbell Alzheimer's documentary?

Same deal here. Go early - like 7 pm. Get in cruise the Merch early and get your beers. We had some ticket trouble at the door and by the time be sorted that, got a couple beers and got into the floor the band was already halfway through three pistols

We couldn't get tickets when they first went on sale, my wife was pretty bummed as she has never seen them live. (I've seen them 3 times) After hearing all the good words about the show and seeing that there are still seats available for tomorrow, I pulled the trigger. The seats are behind the stage, but they are more in our price range given current job uncertainty. Can't wait for tomorrow night, need to decide if I am going to keep it a surprise.

I don't know if CBC is doing something to accompany the August 20 broadcast.
There is the Bidini book that talks about supporting a Hip Tour:

do you guys think there will be a place like flames central or something hosting a viewing party for the final show in Calgary? It would be great to get out with a group of hip lovers to watch this together in a pub somewhere.

I sat in Section 205 Row 20 last night (behind the stage) and the seats were much better than I expected. The first set we could see the whole stage perfectly and there is a large screen to show close up front shots of the performance. The lighting rigs were moved for the rest of the show and it obscured the view but it was still excellent. For about $70 a ticket it was well worth it!

Is it rush seating behind the stage? I got tickets from StubHub for section 203, it lists the row but not the seat on the ticket.

Give yourself LOTS and LOTS of time. I got there at 7:08(parked my car). Hit the merch tent outside (40 minutes), Went to get in with my Amex, had a problem, had to get that sorted out (15 minutes). Beer + getting to the floor, I got to my seat at 8:22. Show started at 8:30 prompt.

That was the best night of my entire life. I was 10 feet away from Gord and I will never forget every moment.
What a wave of emotions.
The Road Apples segment of the show was all tears. Not because of sadness per se, it was just intensely emotional. This band, especially the albums up to Day For Night are the soundtrack of my life. First tape, first CD, first concert and first MP3. The memories that came back, loving the music in the moment, just being that physically close to the band, and yes thinking of the overhanging sadness was more than I could handle.
For the Man Machine Poem and World Container segment I just tried to focus on listening to the words from my less familiar part of their discography, watching Gord's performance and watching each member of the band play for a while. My appreciation for them as musicians rose exponentially. For some reason the most powerful part for me was watching Gord Sinclair on the bass. Bass is one of those things that you can't really pick out easily unless you're live. It just blends into the song and you just know that its the engine somewhere in there. But being able to see Gord's finger work helped me figure out exactly what parts of my favorite songs I was so familiar with were truly associated with the bass. It was an unexpected education.
For the Day For Night, Phantom Power, Trouble at the Henhouse, and Up to Here segment I just tried to focus on loving the moment, rocking out and belting the words out at the top of my lungs. Then to finally make eye contact with Gord Downie and say thank you brought me full circle to the emotional wreck.
What a ride. Both the two decades and the two hours.

Does anyone know where "PL BOX" seats are at the dome? My google search just turns up seating maps where all the Press Level boxes are numbered.
Is it players box? Like on the ice level? Because in that case I may actually squeal in delight.

It is players box on the floor. Probably the best seats in the house(unless you're row 1 on the floor). You have will have nobody standing up in front of you. No obstructed view.
