I wonder if these companies have found out with social media it actually makes sense to take certain flavours away that tend to stagnate in sales, then skyrocket again from the new "They need to bring this back" "OMMMGGG they're bringing it back on July 11th!!!", campaigns.

It seems to be the case.

Crystal Pepsi came out when few of us even used the Internet, let alone social media...

That being said, the concept of creating demand by restricting supply isn't new. McDonald's has been doing it with the Mcrib for 20 years.

I've seen single bottles at Co-op gas bars. I remember drinking it the first time it came out and thinking it was pretty good. I don't drink pop with sugar anymore or I'd try it.

Speaking of which I saw some Wild Cherry Pepsi in Macs. I wonder if the diet version is back too.

I've seen it mostly at Safeway. $2.50 per bottle is going to turn me off of it far more quickly than the taste would. Would rather stock up on bottles of Vanilla Coke and Cherry Coke/Pepsi instead.

think of a slightly thicker sprite without the lemon lime flavor.

They have some at the Safeway at Macleod and Heritage. Just about to try my first sip.

It was delicious. You may now stop refreshing. Or, actually, don't -- go refresh with some Crystal Pepsi.

I found some at the grungy Wholesale Club in Red Deer for 1.80 per bottle including tax and deposit. Contemplated the flat of 24, but settled for 16.

It does seem lighter than regular Pepsi. I do wish I bought the flat of Vanilla Coke as it seems to be getting more and more scarce.

Has anyone seen any lately? I'm late to the game but I need some of my 90s years back.

I grabbed a bottle from an Esso in Nanaimo last week.

You're welcome.

Took me a month but I finally tried some today. It is as glorious as 8 year old me remembers.

Tastes like Pepsi but a bit lighter as you'd expect a clear cola to taste.

Can't say I notice any soapy aftertaste.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some simply for mix.

The Macs had some in Applewood when I looked a week back (probably doesn't help much but I guess they could still have it stocked).

It tasted pretty much like I remembered when I was 12 or 13 (which I loved). Now 35 year old me doesn't like the taste all that much anymore, so I doubt I'll be buying it again.

Related note but I picked up a bottle of Original New York Seltzer today. Haven't seen that in probably ten years
