And it looks to me like it's photoshopped. Looking through Amazon and Google images I couldn't find one image with a six pointed star. They literally all had the same "star" as this image
Spoiler!
Let it go

The fact Frozen has become a legitimate part of this campaign is a pretty good summation of how ####ed up it really is. I guess better Frozen than Joe the Plumber though.

And thanks to all of you for getting that song stuck in my head once again.
Ah the joys of parenting a 2.5 year old princess toddler.

To be fair, not all Trump supporters are likely stupid. Some might just be disingenuous.
what is it about Trump, do you think, that attracts smart people? the wall? his racism? his circular, gibberish speeches? his says it like it is style?

I would say none of the above, however there are self serving jackarses who will hitch their wagon (Stampede reference) to whatever they believe will bring them the most personal benefit possible. Fatty Christie hated everything Trump until he thought it was the best option for him to advance his own political career. But he's an idiot, so that doesn't really prove my point I suppose.
I'm just saying, in theory, there must be some "smart" people (as in, have an IQ that at least has three digits) who are drawn to Trump because they believe it will provide them the most personal gain. The likely don't believe in any of the blather that spews forth from his gaping maw, but see it as the best means to an end.
are we talking average joe voters or other politicians. Of course other politicians will do anything to get ahead, and completely disavow any pride they have. Even Lindsey Graham who badmouthed Trump constantly eventually came around and endorsed him because he is endorsing the party. It's actually amazing how many Republicans want nothing to do with him, and are sticking to their personal principles above party.
The fastest 3 to jump on the Trump bandwagon for personal gain... sleepy, hungry and dopey are not smart.
I think there are a group of people who have been on the same sports team for 20-30-50 years or perhaps even generational support. And much like religion have never bothered to consider the central tenants. So these otherwise smart people have a blind spot in politics. It's interesting seeing some at least say they won't vote for trump but can't vote for Hillary either.
But I do think republicanism and democraticism takes on religious type roles in people's identities in a way you don't see here. And much like religion declaring for a party is becoming less common amount young people.

I'm surprised the white college grad vote goes republican. Generally college graduates are significantly more socially liberal then the general population. To me the amount of social baggage of the republicans outweighs any low taxes, small government more money for me ideals.

Trump was in Washington trying to bring the GOP together. Ted Cruz was given a spot to speak at the convention but did not provide an endorsement.
Quote:
One surprise attendee at Trump's Senate meeting was Sen. Ben Sasse, one of Trump's leading critics in the Senate. Sasse was among the first to emerge from the meeting, but refused to answer questions about what was discussed or whether he was reassured in any way by Trump's comments.
His spokesman later said Sasse went to the meeting "ready to listen."
"Sen. Sasse introduced himself to Mr. Trump and the two had a gracious exchange," Sasse's spokesman said. "Mr. Sasse continues to believe that our country is in a bad place and, with these two candidates, this election remains a dumpster fire. Nothing has changed."

I agree i was surprised as well but I think it is still a result of when the GOP explicitly pivoted to capture the, well i'll call it like it is, the racist vote in the southern strategy. While of course there are minorities in the GOP by and large the parties are separated on racial and economic grounds. And you have a very strong influence in many republican leaning states of parents quite literally telling their kids if they don't vote republican they aren't welcome in the house or family. I wish I could say that was a minority feeling but it really isn't. From what I can see it's pretty universal for anyone in the 50+ age range to tell kids that.
The democracy everywhere is broken but it really is in the US. When you teach democracy at home as "vote for who I vote for or else" rather than "vote who you feel represents you" this is what happens.

This is absurd, kids lie about brushing their teeth and you think you can force them to vote a certain way in a private voting booth. If someone is old enough to vote, they are responsible for who they vote for and you cannot palm it off to an older generation.

Feel free to think it's absurd but I guarantee you it's the truth. Kids are brainwashed from the start that one party is good and the other is evil in many strong strongly leaning households. I didn't pawn it off on anyone. I stated what very much happens in the US. Entire multi-generational families are entirely GOP or democrat. Differences of opinion are not allowed. The GOP is primarily a white party due to the Southern Strategy and people are vehemently anti-democrat in many parts in the GOP strongholds. It's why a buffoon like Trump may get routed but will still get 40+% of the vote.
