It was surely the high point of the first session, but the Gaudreau comparisons do the kid no favors.

Im standing beside rittich net. Hes very stiff and most beating him are on the ice. To his credit a few of the shots were very good

Sick, I thought that was all. Man it feels nice watching some form of live hockey in July...

In the defensive end philips strugled on two occasions as a perspective from the other end of the ice.

Tuulola , janko , carrol , tkatchuck in that order from this end most noticable

Tuulola made a couple deft plays with the puck, and he's got two penalty shot goals and a legit snipe against Rittich. Really like what I've seen from him so far.
Nice! Here's hoping he turns into a Lucic-esque player.

Thanks for the replies.

I liked O Mattson as well. Did some nice things. Phillips had a few good moments.

Wanted to be impressed by Jankowski, but that was quite poor.
Doucet (doucette) trying to crush everyone. HAd big open ice collision with Smith. Also gave Ollas Mattson a nasty crosscheck.

Hickey was quite strong.

Yeah, Phillips looked a bit lost in the defensive zone. Still young though. Lots of time to learn.

Some initial impressions at the break.

Ollas-Mattson is a very clever player. He showed nice hands on one play and got himself a great chance on a give and go a few shifts later.

Harrison had a few strong forechecking shifts and reminded me of his play a few years ago when he was turning heads.

Phillips anticipation and quick stick is the great equalizer out there. He won a few puck battles by knocking the opponents stick away.

Tkachuk impressed the hell out of me. He is remarkably confident with the puck and holds it just out of reach on guys.

Kyllington looks composed and qiluick out there.

Pollock is having a weird ice time where he has the puck a lot and is getting chances but they aren't amounting to anything dangerous. Not sure if I'm sold on him.

Dube is the fastest guy I have seen out there. He's turned two D going outside by my count so far.

Lots of skill out there.

Hickey has so many shades of brodie. Heads up skater and a very alert player

Thought Jankowski looked like he was trying to do too much.

E2's got some skill and seems to have a smile on his face the whole time he's out there. AOM has looked solid as well

Janko wasn't all that noticeable, if you ask me. Neither was Tkachuk.

Not worried about Rittich yet
still adjusting to smaller ice likely, likely first time playing against NHL candidate level players.
He is going to look a bit robotic at first, likely trying to get used to his new angles and triggers

time.

I remember Monahan wasn't that noticeable at his first development camp either!

Kanzig is like a less skilled, defense playing Joe Colborne.

Is that Tuulola's nickname? Niftiest one I've seen so far.

Glad to hear good things about Kanzig. I have a soft spot for that guy even though he's not the "sexiest" of all our D prospects.

Thanks to everyone for their updates. Much appreciated.
