Re: Culkin / Ollas-Mattson / Jankowski's poor giveaways. Just my opinion, but 5 mediocre giveaways that might go unnoticed are a bigger deal than poor-"looking" giveaways. The latter happen when you're trying to make a play and get burned, the former are indicators of costing your team in the long run.

- Keegan Kanzig(!) had a breakaway(!!) and was stopped by the post.

- Linus Lindstrom pulled off a couple of nice moves and was stopped by McDonald.

- Culkin took a nice shot and got it by Rittich, who has not impressed today.

- Rempal has a lot of speed, he managed to pull away quite effectively on a rush from the defenders.

- Tuulola scored his second of the game on Rittich, on a penalty shot.

- Healey used his size for some good physical play, hitting Burke with a strong check.

- Kylington nearly made the lead only 4-2, cutting in on McDonald with speed. He shot it over the net.

- With under a second left, Ollas Mattson made it FIVE-ONE for team McDonald.

- Rittich looks TERRIBLE out there. Let in five goals and about five more posts.

Eetu Tuulola sounds like he is having a heck of a game.

No, it was a legitimate comment.

Buzzer beater by AOM set up by Dube. Don't like Rittich much at all on most of these.

My buddy just called and asks "hey, we are going to Shawnigan Lake again today. Then our one buddy is chums with one of the staff for the nucks (marketing or some crap) and says theyre going for lunch as well".. Says I should come..

My response... "Yeah, I want to go watch some really bad draft picks of the nucks fumble around doing drills with a couple loser canucks fans while the Flames are holding group scrimmages with some solid prospects.. Then go to lunch with you guys and listen to you talk about Bennings plan... F.. off.. "

I hate living out here sometimes.. Sometimes I wonder if going Army and PPCLI would be worth it just so i dont have to be out here around these fools.

How's Tuulola's skating? Kid sounds like he's built like a freight train but has some hands to go with it.

If he can skate he could be a damn good player

Wait a sec... youre saying Keegan Kanzig had a breakway? And didnt trip himself or get caught from behind and actually managed a shot?!

Thats a win in my books.

Shootout:

- Tkachuk: stopped by Rittich. Weak attempt.

- Kravchenko: stopped by McDonald. Also a weak attempt.

- Culkin: made some nice moves, but was denied.

- Morrison: shot one off the cross bar over McDonald's glove side.

- Foo: missed the net.

- Lindstrom: made some nice jukes and head fakes, was stopped by McDonald low glove-side.

- Andersson: also made some nice moves, but put it through the crease.

- Phillips: WHOA.

- Tuulola: easy goal, Rittich was flailing around the crease.

- Kylington: stopped low-glove side by McDonald.

- Healey: lost the handle on the puck.

- Rempal: stopped by the left pad of McDonald.

- Smith: took a hard shot blocker side of Rittich, who denied him.

- Pollock: stopped by the right pad of McDonald.

That was some kinda move by Phillips. You'll be able to hear on Caged Great's recording that while he was coming in on McDonald, I compared him to Gaudreau. He certainly looked like him out there.

Yeah, Phillips had a pretty unreal shoot out goal.

It's weird seeing how many guys are trying to snipe in a shootout

Phillips looked really good down low as well, strong on the puck for a smaller guy.

Tuulola looked great in my opinion. Good skating, excellent puck control, great shot. This kid could be a steal

His skating doesn't look any worse than Tkachuk's (who also looks like he'll have zero issues playing at NHL speed).

Tuulola made a couple deft plays with the puck, and he's got two penalty shot goals and a legit snipe against Rittich. Really like what I've seen from him so far.

Thought ollas-mattson was the best defense for team red.
Really strong on the puck, had a great stick, and made a few surprisingly skillful plays.
