Brady is ****ed off (rightfully so) for having a team with zero talent in the receiver role after he took a paycut to stay there. Good on the rookie for ripping it up on the ground yesterday.

Actually Damon Huard has actually posted decent numbers for the Chiefs so far. They haven't taken a lot of risks with him, but he seems to be taking care of the ball and completing a good percentage of his passes. Arizona has a weak offensive line and a pretty porus defence. If the Chiefs can employ a similar game plan to what they used the past couple of weeks they should be able to even their record this coming week.
This coming week we get to see just exactly what a couple of these early season success stories are made of. San Diego hosts the Steelers coming off a bye week. This should be a good litmus test for the Chargers as they finally play a known commodity. Same with Baltimore going into Denver to play the Bronco's coming off a bye week.

The Bears right now in my mind have earned the title of being the team to beat in the NFL.
Once agian I see the Seahawks being a very good team, but not having that leadership or being able to win those dirty games to win a championship.
I don't want to have a big homer comment here, but how good did Peyton Manning look yesterday? Yes he still has to get that ring to be mentioned among the greatest of all time but my god is he ever fun to watch. Drives the colts the length of the field for a TD, then the Jets come back with a kick return for a touchdown. All Peyton does is go out there again, and just drive them right back down for another TD.
The Bills have looked pretty decent this year. They almost beat the Pats week one in NE, they're 2-2 right now and Losman looks like he might actually be an NFL QB.

I missed the first half (stupid work) but I figured Seattle was toast when Jackson dropped that pass inside Chicago's 10. Tough to run against Chicago at the best of times, even harder without Alexander. That puts all the pressure on the passing game, and when the #1 WR drops it all confidence goes down the drain.

Albert Haynesworth gets a 5 game suspension for his headstomp.
That's a good, strong message.
I wonder if the fact that the Titans are going no where this season allowed the league to be this harsh? If it had been a team with a chance for the playoffs, would the penalty have been 3 games?

Too early for me to judge the Bears. I'd like to see how they play on the road vs. a good AFC team. They have enjoyed an easy schedule and division. I give them credit for beating SEA, but that was a home game vs. a team missing the league MVP.
Don't know what to make yet of the Broncos and Patriots. Maybe NE will only do well vs. teams that can't stop the run. Are the Broncos as good as they looked in NE, or as weak as they appeared in STL and vs. KC?

Yeah, I think we'll need to see a couple of more weeks here until we'll start to see the cream rise to the top. At this point this is what I think in terms of who's a playoff team and who isn't.
AFC
Denver: Will win the AFC West pretty easily. San Diego mounts a bit of a challenge.
Indianapolis: Will take the AFC South edging out the Jags
New England: Still the best team in the East
Baltimore: They don't win pretty, but they have the easier schedule and those two extra easy games will be enough to put them on top.
I think right now that Cincinatti and San Diego will take the Wild Card spots and San Diego and Pittsburgh will be the other teams challenging. Pittsburgh has a pretty tough schedule and being the champs have to deal with being hunted every week. Jacksonville is a probably as good or possibly better than San Diego, but the Jags have to play the NFC East which has 4 good teams and has a first place schedule. San Diego gets to beat up on 2 definite NFC West patsy's and has the benefit of an easier in conference schedule. Although they showed signs of last year blowing that 4th quarter lead yesterday.
NFC
Chicago: Class of the conference thus far
Carolina: Sorry Saints fans, I know you played them tough yesterday, but I think the Panthers are getting it together
Philly: I think it's a coin flip between them and Dallas
Seattle: Tough loss yesterday, but the rest of their division is pretty weak and they'll pummel those teams.
Wild Card teams
Dallas, New Orleans
This is really tough to call as Minnesota, Washington, Atlanta, and St.Louis could all challenge for these spots. But the Rams blew that road game against Frisco and that'll cost them. Washington will regret blowing that home opener. Minnesota might finish strong and possibly challenge. Atlanta has looked good save that game against the Saints. Than again maybe the circumstances that night were so much making that game an anomoly?

I'm really pleased with my "Cowboys" so far this season. Glenn and Owens look like a terrific duo. The defense still worries me a bit but heck they have the pieces in place to be good. But the NFC ain't easy!!

Yeah, that Cowboys/Eagles game on Sunday should be a good one. That whole NFC East is a pretty tough division. So far the Eagles really haven't had to play what I consider a true contender yet so I guess we'll see if they're really that good, or if they're just beating up on the weaklings.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy, how bout dem Saints?!!!!! Yep Colston looks like a definite keeper, looks like the Offensive ROY award may come to the Saints even if it isnt Bush. Not bad for a Hofstra boy eh? He was even overshadowed by his own fans in TC when we were all fawning over Mike Hass. Great story.
Looks like that was one heckuva draft(does that phrase bring back memories of Haslett?) that Payton had. Harper, Evans, Colston, and Bush(kind of) are all starters in their first year. I heart Payton.
The SAINTS....are COMING!!!!

Come on Chiefs fan. The Chiefs are not dead yet. And San Diego is nothing to sneeze at. It was all Denver could do to beat the Chiefs in Denver when the Chiefs were still reeling from the loss of Green.

Well I was maybe a bit harsh on the Chiefs early in the season. If they can go into Arizona and beat up on the Cards like they whipped the Niners than maybe my opinion on them starts to change. I'm still not that sold on that offensive line, and without that line they'll be in tough to beat Denver, San Diego, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Seattle, Indianapolis, and New England, plus a road game in St.Louis which is very different than a home game vs that team. Considering that they're 1-2 and have that left for a schedule, a realist has to admit that an 8-8 season will be hard enough. I think the Chiefs are a mid tier team playing a tough schedule this year. I still cheer for them, but I can admit that other teams in the NFL are better.

I take back my prediction of the Bengals being in the superbowl this year as all of them will be in jail at this rate.
Also, Titans still suck.

My dolphins season is hanging on a limb this week-end. If somehow we can pull off a miracle win this week in New England we might just find a way to start playing real football and challenge for the division as was predicted by the so called experts out there.

Niners WIN! Nice to see Smith with his first 3 TD day, and Gore get back on track.
I know it was only Oakland, but few people are expecting much from my Niners and every win feels like a big one.
And if it is the rivals from across the Bay, so much the better.

Hey, the Niners are my second favorite team this week!
They're going to be tough very soon.
Could the Raiders go 0-16? I sure hope so!
