In the last 5 seasons of NHL play, Adam Larsson was the 106th defenceman in points. Nikita Nikitin was 108th. So clearly an upgrade for Oil.

Won't be too surprised if Edmonton wins the deal. Hall was always the type of player that had good stats but was so insanely selfish he cost the team nearly as much as he helped. Losing an offensive winger for a 206 pound 23 year old dman isn't an immediate loss. Give it 4 years and we'll see where their careers go.

Maybe they don't have a workhorse #1 but they have a solid, competent defensive corps that will fit well with the likes of McDavid. Draisaitl, and Puljujarvi.

Davidson is fine. But he's 3/4 guy at best, more likely 5/6 at this point.
Klefbom - who knows at this point. Could be a Brodie but still a ways to go.
Larsson - 3/4 guy.
Not sure how this is a good top 3. Its cheap, and not awful, but not a top 3.
