NBA and NFL do it better. Just my two cents.

The question of the day: Will that creep Thurman Murman Katz kid make another appearance?

Oh, and the NFL does it awful, the Commish should not be announcing the picks. Does the NBA do it that way too? Almost as bad as giving the trophy to the friggin owner.

I hate this so much. 100 million people don't drop everything to watch Robert Kraft sign a cheque.

I like that though, it gives the scouts who work their tails off a few minutes in the limelight. I watched the NBA draft and the NFL draft and I don't like the feel of it. NFL you have all these guys in their warooms in their respective cities and then they fly the draftees out after they put on a hat?
NBA, they're in their little rooms they get with a camera on them in front of computers and again the players slap on a hat and then seconds later they're traded.
Just a big fat meh to me.
I feel the NHL does their drafts better than any league in the world. Why have them in lockstep with the other leagues and have it boring.
I love that the wheeling and dealing is done face to face on the draft floor and scribes are running to this table and that. There's intrigue there. It's like watching a giant swap meet sometimes.
Why anyone would want to change that is beyond me.

So what you're saying is it's a process.

How is this even a question anymore? He has been on the stage every year since Katz bought the team.

You're employed by the team or independently wealthy right? I don't know how you'd get anything else done with the amount of info you break/post.
Jokes aside, thanks for the work you put into making this site better.

Well you just opened my eyes to the fact that the Oilers will never not have a high first round pick cause then how would Katz junior get any tv love.
Oilers not trading 4 overall confirmed.

I'm playing in a Regina fundraising street hockey tournament, Sticks on Rose, and Eberle is one of the celebrities. Last night at the draft for celebrities for teams, everybody was busting his balls about being traded. He took it in stride, but even today its relentless. A buddy of mine went to him today and said "Hey Jordan, you excited to be playing for St Louis?" Lol. He just smiled and changed the subject.

Interesting if true.
m g @kikkerlaika
This is juicy. Might be Tampa's draft pick value/strategy that was found in Buffalo

It all makes sense too.
If you only lived one minute in the future, you wouldn't be able to do that much that other people can't. It wouldn't be very handy for getting rich by rigging the lotto or stock markets or betting on sports.
It wouldn't be enough time to be a superhero and avert disasters and major worldwide crisis'.
So sureloss did what any sensible, logical human would do. He found a way to leverage his life of being 1 minute in the future the only way he could. He decided to post news updates on a hockey forum. I'm just glad he picked us over CDC paste eating trolls and HF.
