Well that deal is almost the same, Klefbom is better than Nurse. Nurse is Phaneuf without the offence, all tools no toolbox.

imo, drai, klefbom, 4 is a better package than hall nurse 4, but yeah klefbom is a good 3, could be a 2 in the future, he has great fancy stats. draisaitl is roughly = bennett, and 4th is dubois who MTL loves and is a monahan caliber prospect (monahan has developed a lot better than anyone thought though)

this would have been like if calgary had traded brodie, their 2014 first (which would be bennett), monahan for subban at the start of the 2014 season before brodie and monahan really showed what they had in them.

that would have been a ridiculous trade for montreal to accept at the time, but they'd be laughing now. they know what they've got in PK, and for some completely goddamn unknown reason, they aren't super satisfied. so if they think a package like the one proposed would work, I can really see them doing it.

besides hall is a cancer and nurse will bust so

yup. Still ... not even Bergevin is dumb enough to give up a 27 year old Norris calibre defenseman without getting clear overpayment in return.

from what we can tell it's entirely wild speculation by dreger

brad was probably calling everyone to see what they would want for a top pick just to have the knowledge if he needed it, and dreger dreger'd

perhaps it is just Treliving getting in on the Subban rumors. Seeing if Edmonton and Vancouver is willing to pay a hefty price for Subban, what would they give up for one of his defencemen.

Those Yzerman comments about a first rounder makes me think the Flames said no to the 6th but are trying to kick the tires on getting that other top ten pick to make it work.
