Please go ahead and show how Ramo has better stats than Reimer and don't go by wins.

Yeah I really don't see the Hiller comparision. He is a butteryfly style goalie but he's got a good array of kick, blocker, glove saves and he's arguably the best puck handling goalie since Brodeur.

I'd be surprised if other teams aren't in on him if he's available though. He's an upgrade on a lot of goalies.

Or just not sign him till after the expansion draft.

Last 2 years averaged out
Ramo 2.67 GAA 910 SV%
Reimer 2.74 GAA 914 SV%
My point is there is no upgrade so again if you go get a goalie get 1 better then what you had.

Ok, so Ramo had a playoff team the one year and a team that should have been the 2nd year. Reimer had poo in front of him until he went to SJ where he had 1.62 gaa and over a .930 save percentage.

So all this losing and rebuilding and yadda yadda yadda for a 4 year window to win?
Is that really what you're selling?

Makes me cringe Flames are linked to Reimer talk.
Please let this be media reaching to make a story.

I thought Reimer had no interest in playing for a Canadian team

It has since been reported that the Flames have asked for permission, but it had not yet been given.

That would be a horrible trade and I don't think there is any way Treliving makes that deal. We need a tender but we also need other elements so by no means do I think it is time to make any at all costs type trades.

I know the Flames bread and butter are those 4th round picks but I find it hard to believe Treliving would trade away first rounders in consecutive years. Maybe if it was another #15-20 but not #6.

Reimer is also 2 years younger. And you included Reimer's 2014-2015 season which was his worse season and the entire team quit for the last half of the year.
You can't just compare the stats and say they are similar. The Leafs team was brutal in 2014-2015.
In 2014-2015 Reimer played 35 games and had 1,001 shots against.
Ramo played 34 games and had 852 shots against.
And anyways if you do want to just look at stats Reimer has quite the better career numbers.
Ramo: 159 GP, 60 wins, .906 SV%, 2.85 GAA
Reimer: 215 GP, 91 wins, .914%, 2.79 GAA
Flames should go after Reimer. He is a good goalie and seems like a good team guy. Plus he's from the west.

Don't really get the dislike for Reimer. He has a really good high danger save percentage and can be acquired without trading away any assets. I'd be really happy if Flames sign him

50 games * 30 shots * 0.004 = 6 goals.
Hmmm. Maybe you are right.
Where is advanced stats guy to save the day?

Actually when I read this they both look like ####. JR is not even a good backup. You want your number two to at least win half their starts, no?
