Can we embed tweets? If not, can it be done? The visual alone on this is more than enough to weed out the conversation from the sources, which ultimately most people only most links to tweets from industry personas.

Maybe look at it from a different perspective. Some people want to read the rumour and the discussion/excitement that generates from it. So either the rumour gets posted in multiple threads or it gets missed in the discussion thread entirely.

The rumours still do get posted in the other thread though. The whole point is everyone can have their cake and eat it too. Trying to keep up in a 12 page mega thread to find the actual content is not something I'm fond of and I'm sure I'm not the only one.However lots of others do like all of the discussion. In this situation everyone could have what they want if some people didn't feel the need to be a dick about it and sabotage something that even if it's the minority of people, would still be appreciated. No one made anybody open and side track this thread.

Some of us just want to read the rumours and don't feel need for discussion. I'm a mostly lurker. So when I get my breaks in the day and come to CP to check what's new, having a thread that has all the credible stuff in it is nice to have rather than scrolling through the Mega threads. As I've said before if it isn't for you than you can simply ignore it! No ones forcing you to post in here.

The wrestling forum I read has the ability to embed tweets and I agree when you can actually see the tweet it makes it stand out from the conversation. That said, I am not sure what that will do for load time of the pages and if it would cause a strain on the servers. I can only assume the admins have looked into it and the ramifications.

if you just want to read maybe you should just read twitter rather than a discussion board? Discussion is what makes this place.
