Lamoriello confirms that they plan to run with Bernier as the backup next season.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Truly believe the Flames aren't interested in a tandem again. Signing Reimer would signal they're going down that path so I doubt they go after him unless it's a last available option scenario.

Not Garrett Sparks, the goalie of the future?

I think Reimer would choose the flames 2.also he has family here I believe.I think he will do great here with our Defense .he was pretty solid with the sharks .I'm not sure Andersen will do well in TO ,I think the same thing is going to happen that happen 2 Reimer and Bernier he's going to get lit up like a pinball machine and the fans will turn one him lol

Not really. Raymond only costs $900k if he is in the minors again (safe bet IMO). So retaining $1M in salary would actually increase is cost. Then adding Bernier, with his $4.15M cap hit means we'd be getting a Ramo-level tender for $5M+
No thank you.
Edit: apologies, that would mean Bernier would cost $4.25M

I don't think Raymond would only cost 900k, I think you only save 900k if you send him to the minors.

You have that backwards. You can only bury $950,000 in the minors and everything else counts against the cap.

Anderson is huge physically and by advanced stats, is one of the best goalies in the NHL. (Stats geeks' saying this, not me).

Advanced stats suggest the opposite. He doesn't look much better than Ramo.

Raymond and 5th round pick for Bernier
Send Berneir in the package for which ever team trades us their goalie. We get a starter and they get a 1b or backup goalie

They should be adding the pick, not Calgary. There is over $8m left owing to Bernier over two years with $3.15m for one year to Raymond. Both players are a waste of a contract spot, but Bernier has an extra year.

I don't think thats right. Pretty sure Bernier only has 1 year left on his deal.

Yup 1 year left

Strange the Maple Leafs would keep 9 mil tied up in your two goalies

It's almost like stats are not objective and you can twist them to show whatever you want. Didn't some apathetic tie-wearing executive once say that 'stats are like a lamppost to a drunk - useful for support but not for illumination.'

Acquisition cost shouldn't be too high.

I actually think Bernier still has the tools to be a good #1 goalie, he needs to get out of Toronto though.
