The moment Gulutzan became 'our guy' it became disloyal to criticize him and dumb to second-guess the GM. Thanks for this post. I have always felt like an outsider on these forums but it is the best place to get information. I enjoy SG's posts and I know he is only human too he probably wished he reacted a bit differently. Sometimes people do get emotional it happens but that doesn't make them a bad person. These forums can be a little unforgiving, I am glad to see not everyone tows the same line.

I am not sure how I feel about Gulutzan "if he is hired". It is not going to be easy getting the team off to a good start and getting the players to respond to a new system. BT has a reputation for working hard so it will be interesting to see if his body of work pays off. It is good that BT is up to the challenge to get this team to the next level!

Reading irrelevant points about games played in the NHL is as valid as evaluating Treliving's qualifications prior to his hire because he never played in the league.

Craft a theoretic coaching profile, state why you think the Flames should employ a different style of play.

Heck, maybe even just state why you think Hartleys style of play should be improved upon.

Not that I'm expecting much, as you have failed to provide substantial evidence of why you decided to denigrate Treliving in the past.

They were an open book during the Feaster era. Putting cap hits and compensation in signing announcements, etc.

When Treliving was hired they started cutting off information.

even then that was just Feaster sharing details like dollar values of contracts and such. There were never many trade leaks and anytime there were they almost always came from the other side.
