Why do you guys care so much about my political leanings though? I don't claim to be entirely down the middle and non-partisan. I just know that I have some personal stances and positions on one side and others on the other. I've voted for a few parties and over the few elections have actually gone back and forth. I have no idea why that would bother you, or is really any of your concern though?

I just wrote, I don't know why. It's just something else how it's so obviously different between how you post, and how you claim to be. I just don't think there's anyone else that I've ever met who was so partisan, but so adamant he wasn't. Leave it at that, I guess.

For me, personally, it's because your avatar creeps me out.

That, and the professional designation you have chosen to pursue. Totally un-trustworthy.

(Good luck in a couple weeks by the way!)

I don't think Harper turned into a "bad" PM by the end, he turned into a mediocre one at worst.

Oh...even a mediocre one is still better than our current PM and that old NDP guy

If I can suggest one thing, at least, Slava? Stop stating how you've voted for "a few parties over a few elections" whenever your impartiality gets questioned. It's the political equivalent of saying "I have a black friend so I can't be racist".

I mean, I seriously thought about voting Alberta Party in the last election, and if Greg Clark had a candidate worth something in my riding and I did vote for them, that wouldn't have made me any less of a right winger.

I don't think its the same thing though. There are some policies I like from basically all the parties and some policies I hate from them. Yes, even the CPC and Wildrose provincially have me agreeing with them on some things! I would bet most people don't agree with everything from any party or disagree with everything from any party.

Anyway, surely people are tired of opening this thread to hear about my thoughts on politics or how I arrive at those decisions. I'm just a guy who gets sucked into these discussions like a junkie. I probably should stay out of these threads, but always wind up back them.

I couldn't even really see an elbow. Looks like he forced her out of the way because she was getting in the way on purpose.

What an over-reaction from both sides. This is why I hate politics.

Are you asking because you've looked? Because by all accounts, she became a pretty good MP after the initial debacle surrounding her election.

I think had Harper done this early in his tenure the "meh" reaction would have been similar...or perhaps I hope it would be. After years of (I'll say in my view at least) trying to control the media, censor what groups like scientists can say to the media, and generally being perceived as a bully or a control freak, I can see the reaction being more negative. Perhaps it's just because I don't view Trudeau as the spawn of satan though...or haven't developed that sense of seething hatred I infer some of you have from reading some of the posts. I like to think I'm pretty party agnostic. I think the whole lot of them need to get on with actually trying to run things instead of being five year olds.

This whole thread should be moved to the "I don't wanna live on this planet anymore" thread. I can't stand Trudeau but how is this even a thing?

As an outside observer, I feel all the video of overblown accusations in the house by opposition members is by far the most embarrassing part of this for Canada. Looks like the government is made up of British tabloid writers.

A lot of people seem to think that grabbing a grown man by the arm like he's a child while shoving a woman to the side is a non-issue. If a nobody like me does this exact same act in public I wouldn't expect to be charged or anything but if it was caught on film I would expect to be called an ####### because that would be a fair description of the man committing the act. Also if a manager at my place of work does that and is caught on video I guarantee he's in a meeting with HR shortly after and a good chance he's relieve of his duties. You simply can't grab or shove people in your place of work.

Now it's no secret I feel Jr should have never been elected as PM but that aside this is an act that is unacceptable for a country's prime minister regardless of who he or she is and what party they represent. He should be embarrassed of the way he conducted himself. People can feel free to mock or marginalize the whole thing because being politically correct goes out the door for most if it doesn't suit their agenda and I see the same people doing just that who would have been out for blood if it was Harper that did this. Simply unacceptable behavior.
