Awesome lets blame the person that didn't instigate the whole thing and took the physical contact.

And that's why I deleted the response, because of sober second thought.
I was wrong in my response.

That is the first accurate thing you've said in this thread.
Still waiting on you to show me the other examples of Canadian PMs behaving the way Trudeau did yesterday, however.

So what?
The reaction from the Right makes me quite pleased with what Trudeau did. He's making the Right look ridiculous with how far they're blowing this out of proportion.
If anyone is embarrassing themselves over this "incident" (lol) it's you.

Has the conservative whip made a comment on this debacle yet? I'd like to hear his side of things.
I have no problem with what Trudeau did. Jesus Christ, you guys are acting like he pulled a George Costanza running away from the oven fire.
If what he did is enough to raise your hackles, I question whether you've ever seen a real physical altercation in real life. Much ado about nothing he apologized, let's move on.

I'm not laughing at any of this.
It really is pathetic, across the board.
The PM's actions fly in the face of accepted decorum, and the response if completely off the charts.
The whole thing highlights, IMO, why a large number of Canadians are not engaged in politics and voter turnout is so low.
The all come across as a bunch of phallusheads.

Parliament would be so much better with more fisticuffs and less passive-aggressive taunts and clapping.

Quote:
Conservative MP Gord Brown told Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to let go of him during an encounter Wednesday that also saw a New Democrat MP accuse the prime minister of elbowing her in the chest, the Tory MP said.
In a written statement emailed to The Recorder and Times hours after the incident, Brown, the MP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes and the Opposition Whip, also said he told Trudeau he should never have left his seat.
"This isn't about me, it's about the Liberal Party's lack of respect for Parliament, and its unilateral attempts to take control of the House of Commons, which set off tonight's events," said Brown.
|
Quote:
"What happened is, that as I was trying to start the vote, the prime minister grabbed my arm. I immediately told the prime minister to let go of me - now," said Brown.
"I later told the Prime Minister he should NOT have gotten out of his seat," Brown said (emphasis his).
