There is still mercury in the lamp to balance the colour temperature, at least the ones I've seen.

What is the unit model/make being installed? I haven't looked up at one closely, also the crews seems super stealthy about installing them I have not seen any of them done.

Could be but because the light is more white I think it makes up for it.

I don't know what Calgary went with. Edmonton went with a combination of CREE and Phillips.

So, I have a question regarding fences. What does the bylaw say about having a second fence - as in, I want a fence on my property, but my neighbour already has a fence on his/on the property line. Am I allowed to build one beside it, on my side of the property line, without consulting my neighbour?

Pretty sure you can. If the existing fence is on the property line you would still be 'responsible' for it as well though.

Yes
City Website is actually pretty good:

I'd be more worried about how ridiculous my property looks with 2 fences?

Can you ask Nenshi who the MP is for the Coventry area? There's a streetlight burned out that needs some attention.

The fence I would be building would look good. The fence on his property fell into the hole he dug when he built his infill, so it's in a bad state of repair. I wouldn't be seeing two fences, he would.

Does Mr. Nenshi actually think the public buys his story he "Didn't really mean what he said, or was confused..." when he made his hyperbolic and defamatory statements about Uber? I find it very hard to believe a man with his Ivy league education would have such a hard time articulating his words about such a sensitive matter. Especially to a complete stranger. Is he willing to admit he was just making up complete BS, for no other reason than exactly that?

Lol "hyperbolic defamatory" statements about Uber. He called them dicks. That isn't defamatory.

That's not the part of the video that's the problem.

He suggested they hired sex offenders and violent criminals in the Calgary market. That is defamatory.
He lost any ounce of respect I had for him when he didn't just come out and say "I was lying, and just making stuff up." Which he 100% was, and anyone with a brain knows it. He needs to straight up own it. I'd have more repect for that, than this stupid charade he's expecting the public to believe.

C'mon, pylon. There's nothing wrong with making up a bunch of BS to impress someone. Don't guys do this at the bar all the time? Pretty sure the entire male population are race car drivers. Except Nenshi. He's the Mayor of Calgary, and his claim to fame is "hiring criminals to prove that Uber is evil". There's nothing wrong or embarrassing about that at all. It's been clearly proven that Uber needed no help burying themselves, but thank God we had Nenshi "hiring criminals" to make sure that that organization run by a dick did not come to town and ruin the taxi cartel.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi racked up nearly $300,000 in legal fees fighting a $6-million defamation lawsuit filed by home builder Cal Wenzel, according to his office.
In a statement released Tuesday, city solicitor Glenda Cole confirmed the city has now paid the $299,728.59 invoice, an amount the mayor will now have to pay back through fundraising efforts.

He did and was. I asked the same question. Here's how it goes: lawyers don't work for free, so the mayor was paying the monthly bills on the case. However, Council policy kicked in once the case was over and the lawyers then sent the full bill (including what was paid previously) to The City of Calgary, which then paid the bill (as per Council policy). So, it is now up to the mayor to return to the lawyers and ask for his money back.
For more about the situation and the Council policy, you can check out this: http://calgarymayor.ca/stories/city-...n-to-reimburse
