Jagr hasn't scored a playoff goal since coming back from the KHL
But glad he is coming back. Don't like seeing Mess #2 in all time points.

Mullet trumps Dome every time.

I approve of this. The problem is we don't yet have a great option to replace him on the top line. Perhaps Lawson Crouse in time, but it's uncertain. Keep playing as long as you can Jagr!

Yeah, I feel like the 2025 season is when the Flames get a year of Jagr.

What this guy has been able to do since coming back from the KHL has been nothing short of a miracle.
I remember watching him I believe during the 2010 World Championships and he looked old, tired and wasn't playing very well during the game I saw.
He signed his 1 year deal with the Flyers and I thought it was going to be a gimmick for the most part as a "I will show you" type season. He has been steller since coming back and its cemented his legacy as one of the best ever. I really think he's more popular now than ever before in a lot of ways. He's played for several teams now and is #3 in goals and points. Seeing as how the game is played today I didn't think I would ever see a modern day player get to #2 in points but its looking very likely to occur next year barring any significant injury.
Congrats to Jagr on another contract and all the best. He is an inspiration for players all over the NHL for the love of the game.

Its going to be so awesome to see one of the greatest hockey stats of all time be broken next season (2nd overall in points). It might be a very long time before we see any of the ''legendary'' records broken ever again after this one.
As great as Jagr's point totals will be, it also shows the true dominance of Gretzky.
Almost 1000 points extra

It helps that he played the bulk of his career in the era of the 6-5 game. I often wonder if his lead would be so insurmountable had he played over the last 2 decades. Also drastically pushed Messier's totals too.

Yes, but Gretzky was a significant factor in creating the 6-5 era.
If you look at points per game over time, there are two significant jumps. One happened when Bobby Orr came along and one happened when Gretzky came along.
There were certainly other factors as well, expansion being the predominant one, but there is a reason why so many people agree that Gretzky and Orr were the greatest of all time, because they both changed the game. And the fact that they changed the game can be seen in the numbers.
It is impossible to compare different eras, but the one thing you can do is look at how dominant a player was, relative to their peers. No one - ever - was as dominant relative to his peers as Gretzky was.

This was his facebook post from yesterday:
"In Florida we love it. That's why I'm glad I made a deal with the panthers on the renewal of contracts for another year."

Is that Gretzky's daughter? Because that would be weird.

Meh, celebrity marriages. They shove that stuff down your throat.
She married a golfer, so whenever you watch Dustin Johnson play, they always mention her and Wayne.
