And I've driven to Edmonton more than 100 times. The roads being busy isn't an excuse. You can still pass and go to the right lane immediately. It's not rocket science.

There will be times there are idiots blocking the flow of traffic and the BMW drivers are the idiots blocking traffic in this scenario (after they pass the semi).
I've driven to edmonton over 200 times and sometimes you can't go to the right lane immediately. It is almost as tough as rocket science, evidently.

That's fine. Do you retract your earlier comment on how "they had no where to go" after watching the longer video where they pass the semi and are free and clear to switch lanes and don't? The white BMW driver actually switches from the right to the left for no apparent reason.

Did his licence plate read "Polak"?

haha retract my comment? No I don't retract my previous comments. I stand by my assertion that you are in no position to be making authoritative claims on their driving habits based on a two and half minute video.

Just as I figured. Even after being proven wrong without a doubt your ego blinds you. You don't need an hour video to prove you were wrong it literally took 5 seconds of watching the video after you said "they had no where to go" and it clearly shows they had plenty of time and space and they still didn't switch lanes.

Exactly how you are supposed to behave.

There are an amazing amount of drivers who are incapable of seeing anything on the road other than the car immediately in front of them. I see people tailgating cars on highways almost every day, and in 90% of the cases, there is a reason why the tailgated car is driving at the speed they are. Looking half a km up the road should be enough to calm most of these 'left lane heroes'.

Also being overlooked is that if the Infinity actually passed that truck on the right hand shoulder, that is incredibly dangerous. Most trucks would have difficulty seeing the passing car until they are right on top of them.

Edit : alright, going to check the long video, posted earlier. Thought that they were the same. May be that the BMW drivers weren't clearing the lane, but my overall impression of drivers in the province still stands, IMO.
No kidding. I love all the "sure it was dangerous BUT...!" No but. The guy split the effing lane in a car. There is nothing to justify this. Even if the cars were doing 80 side-by-side with no one in front of them there is no excuse for splitting the lane like that. If the car in front of the BMW all of a sudden realized they should be moving over, they would have crashed into this car doing something incredibly illegal.

There's no justification. Full stop.

Must have missed where a single poster has defended the Infinity? Nobody thinks what the Infinty did was justified.

Saying, "yeah it was super dangerous, but the BMWs were being dicks" is a way to justify it. Otherwise, why add that caveat? Does it matter?

No one's blamed the Infini that I've seen, but there's a lot of 'victim blaming' here on the BMW's for getting in the Infiniti driver's way and forcing his hand...

Of course it does. If you're going to have a dash cam and act like you're a superior driver you better not be breaking laws either or participate in a group that by my count broke 3 laws in under 3 minutes.

Funny thing is, I do know a lot of Poles in the area, went to school and was friends with many of em growing up. I could know him irl.

Guys the Infiniti was traveling north...

Could it just be an excited Oilers fan rushing back home so he doesn't miss the Draft Day Celebrations? Month-long parades are supposed to kick off this Friday.

Hahaha I was waiting for someone to pull out the 'victim blaming' term.

Hilarious. I love that phrase.

WhiteTiger, pretty much everyone has been blaming the Infiniti. Why is it impossible for both parties to be in the wrong? The Infiniti is more wrong, absolutely, but that doesn't absolve the BMW's apparent wrongdoing either

How many of the Poles you know are perpetually sad or complaining?

What law? From what I can see, there's a large semi in the right lane less than a few hundred meters up, and a line of cars all passing said truck in the left lane, of which the BMW is at the back. So they are supposed to move into the right lane, let that line up to pass get bigger and bigger and just ride behind the semi until that never ending line is somehow clear?

Damn BMWs and their short skirts walking down alleys in the poor part of town. They broke 3 laws in 3 minutes!!! They deserved it!!

Most have lights or signs on them, hard to tell if they're upset over something

Sadly seeing stunts like this don't even surprise me anymore. This situation aside, I commute on the Deerfoot/QEII daily, mind you only for 2-3km but that's more than enough for me.

I've driven on major highways around the world during peak traffic times and this road is most definitely the worst of them all for complete insanity. Without fail, at least 3-4 times a week some lowlife decides they can pass lines of slow moving traffic by driving full speed on the shoulder. Worse yet, you see people merely driving home from work going berserk at other drivers simply because they aren't speeding enough no matter what lane they're in.

I'm not sure if it's entitlement, stress or both but people need to relax and realize they're going to get home and the difference between driving recklessly and going with the flow is probably about 5 minutes a day. Worth dying over?
