What's the story with Montreal and Pribyl?
Why wasn't he signed? Who dropped who?

Calgary did better than both the Preds and Pens just one year ago...its not like those teams are real contenders either

This isn't a veteran hired gun, it's a raw rookie. He just wants to play in the NHL. Which team gives him the best shot of cracking a NHL lineup?

Sounds like despite some growth in the prospect's game, Montreal gave up.

I agree the Flames could give him the most ice time. But nobody knows what he wants. Maybe he wants to win a Cup soon and head back home.

What do you think are the chances that the American election has an impact on a European's decision about which country they want to sign in?

Maybe this is the hold up on the Jankowski signing. Good work detective, just so crazy it might be true.

I think the value of Canadian currency would be the primary concern when deciding between Canada or US, not politics

All contracts are in USD so currency is of no consequence. The tax rate in different jurisdictions is a consideration though.

Currency is not relevant to the players, they get paid in US dollars regardless. Tax rates on the other hand do matter.

Oh gotcha, thanks. Well there we go, tax rates more important than elections.

Not quite true IMO. Getting paid in USD but having personal and family expenses in CAD would be a nice little 30% boost. If anything it would tilt the scales towards signing in Canada.

Except if trump wins and liberals new rates even Calgary will lose their tax advantage

I think it is just a case of slow development, It's will be 5 years since he was drafted in June and until this year he never finished above 9th in team scoring in the top Czech league. Last year his point per game increased but he missed half the year. I am not sure if Montreal held his rights for 2 or 4 years though as I am not 100% when that rule changed.
